Adam has been logging a lot of air miles as he has been travelling back and forth between the US and Australia. Having wrapped up the X-Factor Boot Camp, Adam is set to perform on ABC’s Greatest Hits show on August 4th. Then perhaps it’s back to X-Factor for the next step before the live shows. Previous years had the super house visits which have been filmed in London, LA, New York and Abu Dhabi. Those were to reduce the larger groups down to three for the live shows. This time, it might be different given that each judge already had to narrow their choices down to the Top three.
So who knows for sure what Adam will be up to! Perhaps some rehearsals with Queen before their concerts in September?

    Up early for my daily swim, just listened and watched Broken, …and.. it’s growing on me . That voice, can see him singing it…yeah, it’s good.

    So I ordered Broken to support Adam. Wish I could get beyond that instrumental part & Katy Perry-like lyrics/notes. Hope the song gets higher on the charts than songs past.

    luval– Thanks for posting the YouTube video for Broken. Adam’s voice sounds beautiful but I have to agree with you on the instrumentals and the Katy Perry-like segment. I don’t particularly like those parts, but then again, I’m not the demographic that they’re trying to appeal to. I can always listen to QAL whenever I want to hear music more to my taste.

    I really hope it doesn’t get stuck in that 10-20 number on itunes U.S. But because it’s a dance track it probably won’t get played on radio unless some DJ takes a liking to it and convinces the program director to take a listen. Thoughts on twitter are very positive so maybe the right person will take notice.

    These old ears are totally hearing the same thing as you guys. I love the tiny little bit of his lower register. The higher parts I find bordering on annoying. Luckily we aren’t the demographic for EDM though I’m not sure how you could really dance to this. Definitely shades of KP.

    I don’t know…but I’ve got to say I really do like “Broken”. Still hear that warm Adam-tone in the parts that are set aside primarily for the voice, and kinda love the (IMHO)skillfully woven electronica. Not that I’m any kind of expert!

    “Broken” on iTunes is listed as “house” music. From what have read, “house” music is a subgenre of EDM – and “house” has many subgenres as well –

    Sounds like the music played on youngsters radio channel. With a flavour of Katy Perry’s ” California Gurls” melody. I don’t think she would mind, remember her wearing the cape with Adam’s name on ? I think Adam once was her date at a movie premier. I think I can dance on it… maybe with robotic moves, which would reflect the stiffness in my bones and muscles. LOL. I think Ghost Town has more edge though…

    Still feel that “The Light” is a masterpiece… dark but with a hopeful message. Adam did not write it though. No idea why they don’t consider it as a single…

    I agree, Axxxel about The Light. EDM or House music. Whatever you call it is an amazing song and should have been a single. It’s my definition of a happy dance song and song of the summer. Oh well.

    twilightmagic8, i remember that interview, Adam was so articulate but I remember one of the last sentences of the interviewer when he reacted jokingly to Adam’s complaint about the sometimes free and inaccurate interpretation of the press … The interviewer said that he is going to manipulate this interview in such a way that Adam will sound like an a$$hole.LOL.

    My 22 yo loved GT, the only other song on the album he really liked was The Light…..it would have been perfect to release to reach the same audience as GT…a missed opportunity I reckon..
    I love the Light too.

    Maybe I’ll send him the link to Broken, see what he thinks.
