riskylady, I too wish you all the best with your cataract surgery. I have to get that done soon too, so I’d be really interested in hearing of your experience. Just think how amazingly great Adam would have looked to us if we’d been able to see more clearly

Thanks for the offer of The Kiev Video jlurksacto. I actually learned how to download and convert to DVD because of Adam, so yes I do have the concert. But it was very thoughtful to think of me. I have made it (almost) my life’s work to collect every performance by Mr. Lambert and have it all on DVD in chronological order….(with a back up copy).
My go to shows are idol, red rock, ten commandments, London Showcase, Hammersmith (split pants),Is this love (Australia),Titanium duet and any/all the latest Q+AL offerings

smalls loved the story of your Adam journey. What strikes me so often when reading or hearing people’s stories is how alike they are, and how alike we are. We all fell hard, we questioned ourselves, we researched, we gave in, and then tried to find a place for this and some peeps to share this amazing feeling with. It is what lead us all here to this home away from home. I love it.

In other news, my state supreme court yesterday upheld the same-sex registry law, and this is felt to be a step toward over-turning the state constitutional amendment against gay marriage. And to help with the national fight.

Elvis Duran was pimping Ferras HARD today on the radio. He played two songs and was singing his praises. You just know that Adam’s name came up in private convo, but not on the air.
I just wish that sometime someone would make the link publicly about Adam, Katy Perry, Ferras, Jai Rodriguez and others all knowing each other from back in their LA club kid days. It would make a cute People Magazine article. Don’t ‘ya think?

Riskylady & Angelowal FYI I had cataract surgery a few years ago and it was easy. Had one eye done one week and the other the next. No pain after and I can see without glasses. Did not realize I was so blind. You will do great.

Long day – angelowal – my daughter and I made this chex mix with lemon curd and white chocolate and powered sugar – yummy! When we travel to Scotland, I love the desserts – the apple crumble with warm custard! To die for! Saw another preview for Outlander – my daughter and I are definitely in and hubby may watch for the WWI scenes. Getting excited for it! I don’t see myself as having a bubbly personality but I was on Adam adrenaline at the afterparty so I could have appeared that way! smalls – absolutely LOVED your glambert story! cwm – I know you think that puckerface pic was put up top for you but really AL figured out what I was saying around this time last night. Excellent job, AL in finding the one that didn’t belong and then replacing it. Thanks, AL!!

Every single nuance of that song…everything it could possibly ever become….
Adam squeezed it, massaged it, caressed it, covered it with dripping honey and made it part of that live performance.
My take:
-Best of Adam’s live performances (pre-QAL era).
-Best possible performance of that song.
(Not possible for it to be sung better. No way. uh uh.)
-Among the best of all live performances. Period.
How on earth I’ve managed to miss this little power-packed treasure all these years is beyond any reason.
But, hey. No point in my fretting. It’s here. I’m here.

I am only going to the first NZ show. I’m happy with that as I will have already been to both concerts in Melbourne. The 2nd show sold out even quicker than the first and still a lot of people missed out.

Riskylady and angelowal! As Ginger said it’s not anything that difficult. Just make sure you have a doctor whose hands are very steady
and it’ll just take a few minutes. You are very much awake and they clamp your eyes open and it’s over in no time. Don’t let them convince you to buy any special lens or anything that’ll be expensive out of pocket like they usually try to do.
My vision in that eye has been great since. My mother didn’t have her cataracts out until a year later. 
I had one eye done about 4 years ago at a fairly young age for cataracts and it was very embarrassing at the outpatient center when several nurses and techs kept coming over to me to see if I was in the right section because I was with all the older people removing cataracts.
I am glad you got tix for at least one. I read that they had 73,000 calls for tickets for that concert in two days? Crazy!
