Rumours on Queen blogs that QAL will perform at O2 (Wembley) for two nights in November. Could be a pile of baloney but it has me nervous because I cannot get off work in the first half of November under any circumstances. Not saying that I would definitely go but it would be nice to have the choice.
I don’t know if you remember but we actually had a game on MJ’s about taking the plane together to Wembley.
Nothing beats a UK audience for Queen and Wembley is the jewel in the crown, as UK venues go.
Maybe it’s not true, or the dates are wrong….

I am going on a Rhine River cruise in November, from the 8th to the 17th (I think). With my past luck, I might be able to combine this trip with a hop over to London to catch a QAL concert at Wembley.

asmallworld, you have, like all of us here, the Adam Lambert Gene! Even if it sits dormant for a few years, because of RL interference, it is reactivated by renewed exposure to THE VOICE. We can’t escape it, and the sooner we realize that its benefits (unexplainable physical joy and ecstasy in response to hearing Adam’s voice, wonderful new friends, new previously undreamt of, or undared, travel and adventures, FUN, and much more) greatly outweigh the occasional downside (embarrassment around non understanding family and friends, need for secrecy when taking time off from work, dwindling bank accounts because of so much travel and expensive tickets), the better and the faster we can just relax and take it all in.
I loved your story. Everyone is different. but we all share so many of the same feelings. I remember he absolutely incredible feeling when I discovered that I wasn’t alone in my feelings for Adam, and living where I do, there really was no one I could speak to about it. And cher will be delighted that you rediscovered him through TFM. It is one of her favorites.
We are very lucky that we have ALL. I can’t imagine that I would have lasted, been anywhere nearly as active, or made the real friends that I have, on any other less gentle, tolerant, or accepting site.
And dear nkd, thanks for the FS WLL. It has always been one of my greatest favorites. And I am sorry that I didn’t get to say a proper goodbye to you in Baltimore. I just assumed that we would see each other in the morning, and then I was on my way to the train and flying home. I am so glad that we had a chance to spend real quality time together this trip. And your suggestions for our 3 hour lunch and after show meal were perfect!

Awww, sparkle it was so nice to meet and chat with you for a few mins in our humble and tiny ‘hospitality suite’ after Toronto #1. I don’t think I did chat with your husband – too bad for me. There were so many people that I’d never met before and I’m cr*p with remembering names , but I certainly remember bubbly you .
I’m all Scottish, ‘cept for my German mother . She hated chilly Scotland and that’s why we came to Canada when I was a teenager. I love my homeland, and visit there as often as possible and often dream of Scottish foods like currant crumpets, scones, toffee and tablet…….. . Yep, I am the proud possessor of a huge sweet tooth and a Scottish accent, still .

Oh how I wish I could have been there risky! I was there is spirit. But I am so very glad that you got to be up close for one concert, and the final one at that! I did get to be by the stage for 2 out of my three concerts, something that I could have never believed possible in he past.
Today has been a very difficult day here, one of the worst. I needed something to take my mind off of RL for a bit. Thanks.

My bad riskylady! A UK cousin told me that Wembley was renamed O2 and I believed him. Just did a check and you, of course, are right. (Retrospectively, he must have meant that O2 had replaced Wembley as the “go to” venue, if their wiki stats are anything to go by.)
At any rate, I think that rumour must be false because it said Wembley STADIUM, not arena. In NOVEMBER. Not even a Scot would brave an outdoor concert in November (not this Scot anyway.) Methinks not even a sizeable flask of 12-year-old glenfiddich could breach the chill. Pretty sure that angelowal will confirm that.
Also two back-to-back concerts in a 90,000 capacity venue is a bit far-fetched.
So next summer then….
