As July ends the “Trespassing” touring era now seems to be over with the last show at Paso Robles. But work continues as Adam is to be part of the Glee cast and also is guesting on Avicii’s new single “Lay Me Down”. It may be quiet on the touring front but there are always surprises.     nkd, here’s proof that this blog becomes part of your brain’s hard wiring.

    I was driving down the highway today and saw a license plate that ended in …NKD. And there you were, right there with me on the highway!

    BTW, my city is hosting the 110th anniversary of Harley Davidson, and we have been “happily” invaded by approx. 50,000 Harleys. It’s unreal. And they have street parties, formal events, and concerts galore, Aerosmith, John Fogerty, Kid Rock, Joan Jett, and many others.

    The Harley rider groups are so interesting to see: Glam Girls who ride in high heels and lipstick, old classic riders, black groups, Jews on Wheels, Old Gals, but you really don’t see “thugs”, that old stereotype is dead. It takes bucks to own a HOG. For the most part riders are polite and will be spending mucho dinero here. I have friends and co-workers who took off for this.

    The Glam Girls are getting a lot of attention.

    So where is the press for the Glam Boys? There has to be a group of boys that would fit this description.

    How chiseled his jawline looks in that photo, turquoise – has he lost more weight, do you think? He’s certainly lost those “muffin tops” above the belt line that used to be more prominent. Noticed that with the clingy shirt at AFTEE.

    Ulti- I’d have to agree that most of the guys on Glee are not strong singers. Chris Colfer is the best, but he mainly sings in a higher register. He often competes vocally with Lea Michele in the story lines. Adam is really going to stand out among the men with his vocals. On the other hand, there are a number of strong female vocalists on Glee. I’m expecting Adam to have some gorgeous duets with them.

    Stunning. So slim. So beautiful.

    I can’t even imagine how slim he must be now. I remember at my first M&G how skinny he was, and feeling his ribs when we took our pic. And he’s slimmer now.

    Agree about the guys on Glee not being strong singers. However, Chris Colfer is a fantastic vocalist. Darren Cris has had some interesting performances, most notably the acoustic, at the piano heartfelt version of Teenage Dream, overall his voice is weak to me though. However, I hope they let Adam belt it out.

    Amber Riley is no longer a regular character, which is too bad because she has a powerful voice. Naya is in NY, and I just love her voice. Lea Michelle goes without saying. IMHO.

    mils, I was in Barcelona when there was a Harley-Davidson convention and it was so much fun. (I got a great photo of Irish bikers in kilts and biker jackets). Aside from that, I remember feeling very safe wandering around the area where they had set up all of their stalls, because I knew that the notorious Barcelona pickpockets wouldn’t dare try anything when they were around.

    rs, they also had a huge blowout here, the home of Harley Davidson, for the 90th and 100th. However, this is the lollapalooza. The sheer magnitude of bikes and bikers and music is staggering. Yes, you do feel “safe” around all of this for the most part. I’m not planning on going to any of the festivities, my weekend plans are for work and beach.

    But, it does put my city “on the map.”

    Add ZZ Top, Skynrd, Doobies, many big country acts, Toby Keith, Shooter Jennings, and literally 100 more rock and local bands. Summerfest grounds and local venues, street parties. I’m staying away. Too much booze and drunk driving.

    mils thank you for posting the Glee vid above. I hadn’t seen it. Especially moving given what happened this summer.

    I’ve been pondering why the Glee role for Adam has been such a secret. My theory is that the role hasn’t been fleshed out yet and they are waiting to see how things gel with some of the other new characters. I’m thinking that they are trying to decide how major a role Adam have considering other story lines.

    I can’t imagine being a television writer for this show. Think about the stress of having to come up with a creative plot while keeping in mind music selection, etc. I’m reading a book now about the creation of the Mary Tyler Moore Show. Amazing to look back and see how groundbreaking it was to have a show with a 30 year old single woman as the lead. The producers had wanted Mary to be divorced but they were made to change it to someone just getting out of serious relationship.

    Speaking of GLEE, I am halfway thru the 3rd season. So far my very favorite episode is the black and white Christmas show(ala the Dick Van Dyke show) they nailed that one.
    I am not sure about Lea Michelle, sometimes she sounds wonderful and sometimes her singing just bugs me, or maybe not her singing but her enunciation? I’m not sure what it is exactly. But I am enjoying the show, surprising myself. Season 4 isn’t on Amazon prime so I probably won’t get to carch up with that one.
