As July ends the “Trespassing” touring era now seems to be over with the last show at Paso Robles. But work continues as Adam is to be part of the Glee cast and also is guesting on Avicii’s new single “Lay Me Down”. It may be quiet on the touring front but there are always surprises.     The girl in the drawing video that was drawing the mountains also said ” and you cold have some trees” and then she started drawing trees at the base of a mountain. At least that is what I remember.

    Then there was adam’s poem before that said when its love someone waits beyond the trees.

    Welcome back, cwm! Macchu Pichu sounds fabulous (not unlike our AFL – spectacular and breathtaking). Definitely putting it on the bucket list. 7/27 is my half-birthday (no – I don’t celebrate this anymore but I did when I was a kid!) so it was a special day made more special because you thought of all of us here!

    If Adam is with Interscope, wouldn’t Jimmy Iovine be pushing to get Adam on Idol? I think will.i.am is a decoy. Don’t think he wants to be a judge – he seems much more comfortable in the mentor role.

    This afternoon I watched Adam’s mentoring in season 9. I forgot how incredible he was, delivering comments like “that was boring” in a nonoffensive manner – what a rare gift. He was really showing everyone his judging skills – how to offer honest, constructive criticism in a way that helped the contestants perform better. And when Ryan and Adam were shown talking in the audience, the cast of Glee was behind them, including Cory. I’m glad that Finn’s story is going to somewhat follow Cory’s – I think it is the best way to make sure his death helps teens in similar circumstances.

    cherry Tree has its own pop alternative radio station. Lady gaga was originally signed there. Adam believes in signs and isn’t he a godfather to a cherry?

    Another sign, there is a type of cherry tree that is called the lambert cherry tree.

    Just finished listening to Liam’s 8/4 program. It’s so painful to hear this gorgeous voice and know that we’re deprived of it because radio won’t play him. Praying that Glee knows what they have and use it.

    I am also a huge believer in signs…and there are so many here, it is as if the Universe is SCREAMING to Adam that this is the right label…of course, we don’t even know if they want him lololol…!

    Total non-Adam content, but I had to bring this here, especially for mils. It is about protests taking place in Madison Wisconsin at the capitol building. It is our alma mater and reminds me of my time there when U of W was a hotbed of social protests. I bet that some of those getting arrested today for singing were singing those same songs and getting arrested 45 years ago.

    I watched the whole video, rs. It was and handbook in how not to do things. The guard who threatened tourists with arrest if they didn’t move effectively turned a small group into hundreds and made it almost impossible for this to play out in the government’s favour. Can’t wait to hear how this turns out.

    Welcome back cwm. I had forgotten about your trip and was asking Ron where you were the other day. Two friends have been to Macchu Picchu and were enraptured by the experience.

    Love the Laugh-In vid, mils. It wasn’t until they introduced themselves to the police officer that I realized the kids’ father was the neighbour, not Mr. Farkleson.

    rs, yes, the fracas in Madison is an ongoing mess. Thanks for thinking of me.Talking politics here is not looked upon favorably, so, if anyone wants to angst over our sh*thead of a Governor, our wannabe pres candidates X 2, who are so conservative they make Joe McCarthy look like a liberal, or our new, most conservative in the fight to eliminate Roe V Wade, feel free to contact me by email. Most of you have it, I’m sure.

    I’m not the only Wisconsinite here, I know I’m not…

    I won’t talk politics here, but mils reminded me of something that just have to share. When I was a freshman in college at U of W, Madison and I was canvassing a for Eugene McCarthy for the Democratic Primaries, I knocked on a door and when I explained that we were students for McCarthy, the man answered, “Joe McCarthy? Good old Joe. I wondered where he disappeared to. Of course I’ll vote for him!”. Needless to say, I didn’t correct him to say that Eugene McCarthy was a liberal Democrat. I just smiled, nodded, and walked away. (Now you all know how old I am, lol)

    mils, I have some wonderful memories of Madison…had a friend who went there for grad school in 1976…gorgeous town. I had my souvenir “Positively State Street” t-shirt for years…

    Oh, rs, you may have a few more miles in the race than me, but, I did enter Madison just past the “worst of times.” The war protests were long gone, and disco ruled. Animal House was king, Rocky Horror played at the Orpheum every Saturday night at midnight ( with Mils a frequent flier ), and there were still plenty of protests and politics, and old hippies around. Toga parties and farmer’s market on the Capitol Square….good times. Now you know how old I am too. And to keep it Adam, his folks are just a smidge older than me. ( Smidge = a couple of years ).

    Oh yeah, and I went to classes too!

    ultimat, I really liked them both. John Legend’s more than Ware’s, both with a smooth vibe.

    I’m liking all the symbols and signs that may connect Adam to that label.

    Macchu Pichu, cwm, is one of the few places in the world I’d get on a plane to go see – absolutely spectacular – construction unbelievable – what man is capable of (good, in this instance) is remarkable.

    (Have the same necklace – wear it all the time – such a lovely thought about connection.)

    mils – Ware’s song/vid didn’t particularly excite me – pretty girl – nice voice – but sorta bland(?). Think I’ll listen again – maybe missed something.

    Legend’s voice is just pure honey – like the song, but not so much the vid – a little too “artsy” for me. But can see why it would go over well.

All three Pioneers are scheduled to compete this weekend in major Southern Californian surf contests, and the forecast for swell looks great!
