As July ends the “Trespassing” touring era now seems to be over with the last show at Paso Robles. But work continues as Adam is to be part of the Glee cast and also is guesting on Avicii’s new single “Lay Me Down”. It may be quiet on the touring front but there are always surprises.     Hi rs! I was thinking the same thing last night. Your profession led you to an understanding of what Steven Salvatore was feeling and to the words that he needed to hear.

    I imagine he threw his feelings out there in hopes of receiving some support and he got more than that when you, disinterestedly, approved his work; you weren’t just trying to make him feel better. Just think what he would feel if he knew that your profession gives you a particular understanding of the need for what he is writing about.

    An interview of Eli published August 14th. He comments about people thinking he’s standoffish – he’s shy. No mention of Adam, though gay sex symbols come up. He’s releasing a cd in a couple of months.

    In all the pictures I’ve seen so far of Eli (admittedly not that many, just the ones of him with Adam)I’ve not thought him very good looking, but I must say I have changed my mind looking at the photo in that interview TLKC posted….he looks very handsome in that.

    As to the standoffish remark, I totally understand where he is coming from as the same has been said to me many times over the years. I too am very shy, it takes me quite a while to feel comfortable with people. But I do try and work on it….

    My sister has the same problem, too, HK fan. Shy or self-conscious people can come across as unfriendly. A reluctance to look people in the eye can suggest insincerity; which makes things even more awkward.

    J-Lo’s boytoy has confirmed to E!News that she is going to be an Idol judge. Much gnashing of teeth from Idoloonies, who apparently didn’t get the THR/Brad Bessey memos – or thought they were only joking. YAY! J-Lo keeps Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias out of the picture. Tres importante for obvious reasons…. (especially since Idol seems partial to poaching people from The Voice UK and Australia.)

    There were about half a dozen other tweeters joining in the EL annoyance, TLKC – re RT’s in their feeds. Don’t know how widespread this is – if at all.

    I loved the BTIKM! I read an explanation from him earlier that since he does remixes he is able to separate out the different tracks laid down on a record and remix them, using only the ones he wants. On Aftermath and BTIKM he used only Adam’s vocals, but on Trespassing he laid it over someone else’s track to get the desired effect. I love it, but I wonder what Adam thinks about it.

    Hi rs…yes I’m back. Flight was not too bad, got upgraded to premium economy (upgrades never happen to staff, so a nice surprise)….jet lag not too bad. Just off to bed to see if I can get to sleep.

    Love that BTIKM raw vocals remix, much better than the Aftermath one, that started OK but then sounded off towards the end.

    This happens every time Adam makes a friend who is famous or semi-famous. A lot of people can’t stand the Nile re-tweeting that is going on either. Some twitter Glamberts “adopt” Adam’s friends. It keeps them busy while they wait for news. Can you imagine how much Colfer we are going to have on our feeds soon?

    I like EL but I draw the line at becoming a Gliekbert.

    I have been off the grid pretty much lately and will be for another couple of days – RL stuff, not bad just busy – really busy – and I am so grateful to see our guy’s gorgeous face again!!!

    I had actually stopped clicking on photos.
    Went upthread a bit to see what photos were posted of the return of the real Adam, and there were the meercats…the resemblance in attitude and expression is uncanny! Adam always looks so alert and aware of his surroundings, I just love those photos.
    Amazing how many ways he can entertain us, without even being aware of it!

    I think Wake Me Up is finally starting to get airplay on radio. Was in my car this morning and heard it on two different stations. I have a feeling there might not be a quick second single from True only because WMU is trending up now. Lay Me Down IMO would have too much of a similar vibe if released now. But then again, other artists bombard radio with back to back singles even when the first one is top ten.

    WARNING: Rant Ahead. (No snark, just pure unadulterated rant.)

    1. Ulti, I too am annoyed by the EL retweets and I don’t even follow him. Seems like a nice guy, and cute, but just can’t imagine him fitting in with Adam’s more sophisticated group of friends and family and lifestyle. And I hardly think he’s been treated ANYTHING like a partner, not introduced to anyone, Not ON the red carpet with Adam, but left alone to make his way in. Adam is nice – he tweeted his song, etc. and fans embraced him. Not sure I care for his combining Glambert with his own name himself – bit much. Really tired of people climbing the L(amb)adder.
    2. I am perfectly happy with the gorgeous on-the-spot acoustic vocals we already have from Adam, mostly at radio promos.
    Dissecting studio vocals (which remember are still recorded behind a glass with a technician controlling everything with a million button device in front of him) bothers me almost like dissecting Adam himself. Besides, I think his best vocals are live either in front of a small radio audience or a large crowd. J/s. Even the pirate sound check acapella from Minsk is better IMHO.
