As July ends the “Trespassing” touring era now seems to be over with the last show at Paso Robles. But work continues as Adam is to be part of the Glee cast and also is guesting on Avicii’s new single “Lay Me Down”. It may be quiet on the touring front but there are always surprises.     As to the discussions about Q&A (such a cute abbreviation!), I think that the advertising for the iheart concert is a clue – “rare” appearance by Queen. If the concert goes as we all anticipate, people will be blown away with the talent congregated within Q&A and I believe they will be offered the Superbowl halftime show. After that, peeps will be clamouring for more, watching You Tubes of the european concerts and Q&A will bow to their fans’ wishes and do 4-6 concerts in North America next summer. After that point, Queen will only perform with Adam and only when it suits them 2-5 times a year. Just my humble opinion/guess. Hope it works out this way since it will give Adam plenty of time for his other projects – a new album and tour and Glee and Idol and anything else that comes his way!

    cwm, sending heartfelt wishes, I know too well what you are facing. My mother broke her wrist in June because her balance is so poor that she can no longer walk unassisted, and then I went down with a horrendous sinus infection that is still fighting the antibiotic while my mother had pneumonia. Learning to use the platform walker with the cast gave my mother bursitis and bleeding in her shoulder joint, so she had to stop the coumadin for the blood clot in her leg, and… (shrugs)…it gets to the point that ailments have to be balanced, treating one can worsen another.

    A lot of us are struggling with the needs of older parents, and the sandwich generation syndrome. You are in good company, cherie, we know what you are dealing with. Adam and this blog is a wonderful respite from RL issues that have no easy answers.

    Sending hugs and karma and best wishes that you and your mother will make peace with the situation, and prayers that you will both have the strength and wisdom to know what is best to do.

    I love the speculation and hope it comes true!

    I agree, I don’t think Queen will ever do another big world wide tour but concerts here and there yep, I don’t think they will ever stop as long as they are able. Brian posted in his blog a couple of weeks ago that he just couldn’t understand the term retire and that preforming is in his blood. (paraphrasing)

    I like the way you think sparkle, as long as you include Canada in those concerts. Grin (big “Queen” country!) iHeart is certainly an unusual choice of showcase, unless Roger or Brian have some new singles to release (which they may, for all I know.) It looks as though they are tossing out a ball and waiting to see how far it will roll.

    ETA: You are probably right about the spits and spots approach aely. Selfishly, for Adam, I would prefer a larger blanket tour of North America for the biggest media bang, and then for him to be on to promoting his own music.

    Oh My Lord! Where did those two recordings come from? I am blown away by the Aftermath vocals. Why did we never hear it before? When was it recorded? And that Trespassing, it is almost a gentle version. The youtubes say “Pop Goes Live”. I remember something by that name, right? So this guy has done remixes from those acoustic recordings? Amazing. But if it was from a concert, how could he be doing Runnin since Adam has never sung it live? I am confused. Will someone please enlighten me as to the source of these recordings.

    And also, HELP! my RealPlayer no longer works to download youtubes. I need a new way. Any suggestions?

    Lucas ‏@lucasenlaplaya – This is the persons twitter. It is a very long Q and A on how it is done if you want to read but it sounds like he got the original vocals and stripped them and remixed with other “lighter music”

    RS Are you using a computer or iPad? I wrote out directions a few days ago for someone else. I can find it but which are you trying to download and then I will help!

    aely, I am using my desk top computer. I always downoaded everything to RealPlayer and it was so easy, and from there, when I need it, I converted stuff to i-tunes, but it doesn’t work anymore. Even if it looks like it downloaded OK, when I try and play it in RealPlayer, it is just blank. I know that there are all sorts of programs for downloading and converting videos, but the other old ones I had don’t seem to work either and I don’t want to try something that isn’t recommended.

    Re those acoustic recordings: It sounds to me like he was able to separate all the harmonies Adam does for his recordings and use some strands alone instead of as part of the harmony. Not sure I like all of it – some harmonies were obviously not done to sound beautiful or stand alone, just to contrast with the other ones and make a fuller sound. I wonder what Adam will/would think. And I love Runnin’ just as it is……as he WANTED us to hear it.
    And what on earth is “explicit” about Trespassing? The word “ass”?????

    How they got the vocals: “I’m actually a Dance producer/remixer as well, so I can get the master tracks of songs sometimes” That is their job so they do remixes all the time.

    Okay, so I watched a YouTube video and on the side saw a video entitled Gleeky Collabs 2 “Pick U Up”, then Klaine – Underneath and finally blaine anderson/ runnin. Great to hear Adam’s music and watch the Glee cast at the same time. As a story line, I could see Rachel being taken out to a bar/show by someone – Curt? – and hearing Adam sing Runnin’ or Underneath and her having flashback memories of Finn. And then meeting Adam after the show and him comforting her.

    There’s been a lot of twitter talk about that Aftermath, angelowal – something’s definitely wrong with that remix. There’ve been times when Adam’s been “off” – Idol Mad World end – during GNT when Monte caught him and Adam quickly corrected – think Black or White during Idol, too – but, as he said, he was really nervous.

    Nevertheless, I’ve never heard anything like that Aftermath. Like to know where the remixer got that track from.

    Okay, of course it probably means Avicii and Nile but like I said it is fun to speculate. But, with all the pimping Adam and Shoshanna have done for Katy lately, that collaboration wouldn’t be shocking.

    I am confused about the Aftermath talk. Everyone on twitter this afternoon couldn’t stop praising it. I think it is amazing. What is wrong with it?

For Trespassing, I’ve put them on top of the instrumental of “Metal & Wood” by Tyrone Wells (such a cute song!) – the difference there is that all vocals are in the album mix, many of them unfortunately buried among all these layers.
    I can’t wait to finish more acoustic versions for other tracks, and hope you enjoy these too! Once again, my most sincere THANK YOU to all of you!!
