As July ends the “Trespassing” touring era now seems to be over with the last show at Paso Robles. But work continues as Adam is to be part of the Glee cast and also is guesting on Avicii’s new single “Lay Me Down”. It may be quiet on the touring front but there are always surprises.     I thought we couldn’t copy a whole piece? That is why I only copied the first 2 questions and linked the rest. Is that only for a “news” site? I can see a difference but I am confused. Help! Big Smile

    I didn’t think any of it was negative, they have always been spur of the moment people and very matter of fact. The other part about Roger and his music and future releases with Frddie’s vocals is also very interesting.

    aely, I think that’s only from a news site or publication. It wasn’t the whole piece anyway, even both of ours. I didn’t mean it was negative, it just gave me the impression that they might not do more with Adam. (Of course, the magazine guy had an agenda…but Roger answered well.)

    Really don’t care if Queen doesn’t tour in the U.S. with Adam – he already has the reputation of being an outstanding front man for them. He needs current collaborations, IMO.

    As much as peeps want to see more Queenbert, I think it is a lot more important to generate current buzz with hot new stars. Adam has already punched his Queen ticket.
    More Queen wouldn’t hurt him, but other collabs could be more helpful.
    IMHO, of course.

    I care ulti because I want to experience Queen with Adam at least once! That’s selfish of me, but I WANT IT!!!
    Besides Adam enjoys it, and it gives him some cred with a lot of people. Of course I want him to collab with current artist also. Maybe some of those current artist will take notice of him with Queen at IHeart.

    Awww thanks turq. You know I can’t stay away for long! And thanks so much for that glimmer of hope that my mom might still recover some of her vision, JOJOSIE. Heart

    nkd – I agree with you. I want more people to be able to experience Queen + Adam in person, because truthfully, it was out of this world. Really truly unbelievably awesome. If more people saw those shows, it would only increase his cred.

    Of course, he should also collaborate with hot current artists as well. Bring it all on!

    Been thinking about your mother’s sight, cwm – does the problem have anything to do with macular degeneration? My father had it years ago and lost a good deal of his sight. However, there’s a great deal of medical research being done in that area now which bodes well for both present and future treatments.

    that posted is a BIG Queen fan with membership to some Queen
    fan sites and joined Atop to follow the Adam fanship and
    post correct info about Queen. From the interview he posted
    first only Q&A’s concerning Adam, and then Queen Q&A’s that
    he thought the Atop membership would enjoy. He is a Adam fan
    but mainly only in relationship with Queen.

    re Sauli….I too like nkd, thought that Sauli had said a long time ago that he would be going back to Finland about now for a couple of months but then would be heading back to LA…but maybe something has changed, he does look very sad. re the unfollowing, I have read several times on twitter from fans that have suddenly found themselves unfollowing Adam and have to re register, maybe a glitch in the system.

    Re: Nick Gardner (recording artist signed to Interscope) being there as well, I didn’t interpret his tweets at first as indicating that he was in the studio WITH Adam, but maybe he is. It could be certainly be read that way, come to think of it.

    ulti – Thanks for asking, but it’s actually not macular degeneration, it’s “arteritic ischemic optic neuropathy” – an inflammation of the blood vessels supplying the optic nerves, which deprives the optic nerve of blood, which if not caught in time (as in my mom’s case), leads to permanent blindness, first in one eye and then the other. Big Frown (Sorry to be a bummer, guys, especially after the happy studio news.)

    Polly Anthony is co president of Geffen Records which is part of Interscope. She reports to Jimmy Iovine. Prior to 2004 she was president of Epic records, part of Sony.

    That Polly Anthony info was old. Apparently she moved into tv production for interscope. She appears to have been the Exec Prod of zodiac show documentary. Still researching…

    So if the Polly Anthony Interscope possible connection means anything at all, it is for Tv production, not record label. Her most recent thing I can find info on is Lifetime movie in February 2013 called Betty and Coretta.

    If I was a betting person I would bet on LMD being played on the 19th. It’s a no-brainer for those three. How many other chances will they get to sing together?

    As far as Queen is concerned, I had a chance to see them with Adam and I can’t help but want to share this experience for every fan.

    Above-and-beyond that, a Q+A tour would take Adam away from his own work for less than 2 months, put a lot of money in his bank and expose/re-introduce him to a broad audience as THE VOICE of his generation. In short, lay the groundwork for renewed success. Just look at how big the Moscow and Kiev Trespassing venues were – 7,000 and 15,000 capacities. And they were pretty much sold out.

    I hate to say it but Adam’s career needs a massive US kickstart and among the various options we have discussed, this would be the most likely to up his cred.

    Also, it sounds as though they aren’t done with the Queen songbook and I can’t bear the thought of them singing with someone else.

    Yes, it is exhausting, but I care. I care a lot. As much as I would love for him to cut ties, it would be stupid. These new producers obviously love and respect him so who knows what that could lead to down the road. So, he needs to play the game. Plus, any time Adam’s name starts making a news cycle it is great even if it is frustrating for the fans.

    Exactly, aely. As much as I wish he would follow the lead of other Idols and distance himself, it’s not likely to happen. Idol still offers a huge audience and, by the sound of it, he is recording. I want to see him sing his new single on that big stage Smile Plus, he is alive to it’s many other possibilites in the future.

    After his three concerts in London, did Brit radio pick up his music?

    I’m not sure how big an audience Queen/Adam concerts would pick up in the U.S. Would his own music get a boost? Would radio pick him up on the basis of these concerts? Radio is what he needs and don’t see how these would help in that regard.

    Money-wise would be a plus, of course, but don’t see how a continued career as a Queen front man is a long-term guarantee for his individual success.

    A few concerts, IMO, would be great – I’d love to go to one as well – but I’m not depending on them for anything big.

    New Music – his current fans. Glee – new, young audience. Avicii – new, hip audience. Nile and Queen – endorsement of respected artists and their fans. Idol mentor/judge at some point – mainstream audience and radio (curse them!)

    Four out of five ain’t bad but I WANT IT ALL. For him.

    You are right ulti. They didn’t, but British radio has ridiculous quotas. Only 50% of radioplay can be from outside the UK and Adam has to compete at a 50% level with JB, KP, LG and a lot of European stars.

    Queen is a British institution and the UK is always going to be muted in their acceptance of a Freddie replacement, particularly if he isn’t from the UK. I think Kiev and Russia are a better comparison to North America.

    Anyway, it’s just my opinion. I can’t see a single downside to a decent-sized collaboration.

    I don’t see Queen getting Adam radio play – I see them getting a lot of press and giving Adam a chance to answer the “Where are they Now” question with a big fat “Here I am: respected by the rock establishment, still awesome of voice, standing in front of stadiums full of people and, BTW, my new cd is coming out….”

    Sauli posted a while back that he would go home in the Fall to promote the show. If it is successful, he will be back to film more episodes – it is LA-based. Best wishes to a very sweet little guy – you don’t win Big Brother unless you are a very nice person. Adam says his best quality is a good heart. A good heart will always find a good place.

    BTW, any word on Tommy and Cher? Is she still following him? She has a GMA concert in September and that would be an amazing opportunity for him. Her promo tour would be great for him, too.
