As July ends the “Trespassing” touring era now seems to be over with the last show at Paso Robles. But work continues as Adam is to be part of the Glee cast and also is guesting on Avicii’s new single “Lay Me Down”. It may be quiet on the touring front but there are always surprises.     I’m a little late to your party because the last guests just left from a party that I hosted today for milkywayfairy’s birthday.

    It included all of the Toronto Glamberts and luval drove up from Syracuse to be here for the occasion.

    I was a little concerned about having everyone over because the last time that I hosted a party was when Lindburg landed but I think that everyone had a good time. Wink

    ….taking a trip down memory lane with Steve and Eydie on You Tube. I can remember when they were a constant on TV. Talk shows, variety shows, so talented and so funny.

    This , I think, is the kind of talent that us 29 year olds were raised with, and these types of performers were ingrained into our concepts of what entertainment should be.

    I really do believe, this is one of the reasons we have been drawn to Adam. The ability to be not only a true singer, but to be witty, funny, a great guest or host, and to act, sing and dance.

    RIP Eydie. Their marriage was a role model for so many, a true love story. I just went to Wiki, and didn’t know that their son wrote the score for High School Musical. Interesting.

    I’m also de-lurking to add to the big stack of well wishes for jlurksacto’s birthday. I keep thinking I met him at Paso Robles when meeting up with tchrsd to buy tickets for the show. I was a little zoned out and so excited to be there, but I remember a quick handshake with a tall guy who had such an infectious laugh. Big Smile Could that possibly have been you, jlurks?

    Sigh…..it’s a tough job masquerading as an even-handed neutral Idoloonie on MJ’s. Whenever someone responds to one of your posts, you get a notice via email, courtesy of Disqus.

    A neutral comment I made about Adam on GLEE the other day earned me a little email gift this afternoon from uber-Glambert Kerry Kolch. It started with “Not too smart are you? Do you mot understand that…?”

    After spitting blood for three hours I setted on the following: “Ah but, on the face of it, I’m so much nicer than you. Plus I know how to spell not.”
    .

    ETA: I mis-spelled “than” as “that” and got called out by another Glambert. The second Glambert has told me off before. I once made a nice comment about Angie singing Titanium. She felt that I should have been more complimentary towards Adam.

    I swear Glamberts can be VERY harsh towards non-believers…or fake non-believers…

    What I’ve noticed on Disqus is that there are many more “guests” of late, rather than posters using identifiable “names.” According to Disqus you can become a “guest,” but then you can’t get responses to your posts (maybe a good thing – lol). Also now the names of “up arrow” people are shown, but not the “downs.” Weird setup.

    I have to admit, I don’t know who Steve and Eydie are but do plan on doing a google search. Anything I should watch? I saw that mils linked 2 you tubes…but are there others that shouldn’t be missed?

    TLKC you are cracking me up…It’s those, as you say, uber Glamberts that make people dislike Adam and think all his fans are nuts. (Well, maybe I am a little nuts…but I am not delusional…) Grin

    Watched Eydie and Steve on the Steve Allen show many times – Eydie was a great singer and her husband was pretty good, too. Remember when one of their two sons died suddenly – glad to hear the other son is doing well.

    My computer is falling apart! Pain
    I’ve been up all night copying as much as possible to an external hard drive. Itunes, pictures etc, etc.
    How do I have almost 30,000 songs? That’s not even the numerous videos I have saved. Shock
    I’m hoping the retrieving process goes smoothly, but I’m not counting on it. Wink

    OH nkd! Good luck with your transfer operation! I got an external hard drive about a year ago in order to prevent an emergency situation like yours, mostly to preserve my photographs. You must be strong not to give in to the temptation to listen to any of the songs that you are transferring.

    Hi Ron! Thanks so much for a beautiful party. The best surprise was luval. When she stepped out of the elevator I started screaming. She’s probably on the road on her way home right now. Safe driving sweetie.

    I wish we had known about jlurksacto at the time – we could have video’d an absolutely awful rendition of Happy Birthday.

    P.S. Ron had to use that pic of the group because half of us have invoked a “no public posting of photo’s” rule. Grin
