As July ends the “Trespassing” touring era now seems to be over with the last show at Paso Robles. But work continues as Adam is to be part of the Glee cast and also is guesting on Avicii’s new single “Lay Me Down”. It may be quiet on the touring front but there are always surprises. When it comes to Adam, expect the unexpected! Photo from Alikat1323 Smugmug.

Awww, sweet that Adam saw this video and the nice things Jessie Ware and the DJ said about him…

I wonder why Adam doesn’t change his twitter Avi to a current photo with the mustache? He used to change it with every event photo op.

  3. TLKC says:

WOW! Adam is getting such amazing press. Reading a day of posts is like opening a treasure chest.

Love Chunkey’s Nemesis posting. Love #4 Vogue the best but #7 “How did Kurt’s clothes fall off?” is funny, too.

The last one made me laugh out loud. The idea of Adam as a cartoon Crabby Appleton is pretty obvious given his current look. Surprised there were no pirate scenarios in there.

RE: the first Melvin photo that didn’t leave Krad in tears – that is the facial hair styling that the One Directioners have. Maybe it is the look of the moment and Adam will keep it light. Big Smile

  4. TLKC says:

Love your photocopy Adam handout luval. We could post it online as a primer for curious Gleeks, too. We could provide links to some of Adam’s best interviews.

IMHO, one of the best is the one-hour online twitter interview he conducted in 2010 for the #1 donor fan group. He was wearing a black and white check shirt. It helps to give perspective to some of the more sensational aspects of Adam’s life like the AMA/GNT kisses. Adam is so much more than that.

  5. TLKC says:

WOW Nile really is a loose cannon, verbally speaking. Even the Aviici slip – I wonder if the contractors of Aviici’s other gig will try to put a plug in their participation in AFTEE. What a dingbat!

I think in a weird sort of way Nile is into the outlaw/outsider ideal. He has done so well but he loves to focus on being in at the beginning or at the bottom of something which suddenly blows up into mainstream success. A cultural rags to riches story.

Perhaps he loves Adam even more for being dropped and is envisioning the next few months as the vindication of Adam and another great wave for Chic. He is definitely campaigning for “Lay me Down” to be Aviici’s next single.

    Gotta love him.

Thanks for the Nile fashion interview, riskylady. He is quite the clothes horse; gives Adam a run for his money in that department.

    1. Find the video you want to download on YouTube- Hammersmith Full Show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejoecEszxqo

2.Copy the address and go to http://www.keepvid.com – Paste the youtube address in the box that says enter video link. (You may have to download keepvid, it has been a long time, but it will prompt you and it is free.) Then click the download button beside the address. NOT the big green button that says download.

    3. You will be given choices on how you want to download it. I use the MP4 (max 480) for videos. You have to click Run (it will prompt you) and check the box that you will allow it. Once you click on that option it will start downloading.

    4. When that is done it will ask you to open or save. Save it to videos or desktop or somewhere easy to get to. (if you have any questions along the way just ask)

    5. Now you can watch it on your computer. To get it to iTunes open iTunes and open your folder or where you saved the download. Right click and hold to drag it to iTunes movies and drop it in.

    6. Then sync your iTunes and make sure you check the box on the video you downloaded so the video will copy onto your iphone or ipad. Done!

For whatever reason I just love that silly but soooo cute cartoon of Adam and Jason! It just seems so happy and innocent.

Another pic popped up from the Hooray Henry opening – Adam with the owners. His friendship with these guys does make me wonder if he might get in some of the ownership action. That would be cool.

    TLKC – I totally agree.

I think that is the context from which Nile told that story. Saying that Adam was yanked out of a hangover in the middle of the night to record that song (and slayed the vocals), and that he’s got this big song coming out and a upcoming gig on Glee, at the same time that his record label drops him, underscores Nile’s rebel/outsider/rags-to-riches meme. I think he’s trying to convey (even if clumsily) that Adam is a badass, that the record label was stupid for dropping him and that he’ll be a big success in spite of it, and that his success will be the ultimate FU to the label.

    IMHO

  18. Kradamour says:

Just listened to the Nile interview … I think he was trying to help Adam, but damn did he have to say Idol twice in the same breath with Adam’s name? I don’t think the hangover was an issue, he made Adam look like a trouper and emphasized that he nailed it on the first go, and that Adam’s an amazing vocalist.
My bigger “oh, heck” was in the beginning, when he was talking about who would be there, and after a pause “oh, right, and Adam Lambert!” which made him seem like an afterthought.
But then he followed with a story about him, so (shrug) it is what it is.
Nile talking about Adam Lambert is always better than Nile not talking about Adam Lambert.

  19. riskylady says:

Btw, Krad, I loved your very concise and spot-on take on Gaga.

Re Gaga…the Fame Monster was … well, perhaps unfollow-able. Her tragedy could turn out to be that she was too good too soon. How do you follow that? Unimaginable pressure to be just as brilliant again. And again. And…

  21. cwm says:

I also want to add that I think Nile told that story of calling Adam late at night, Adam’s got a hangover, gets on the treadmill to clear his head and body, comes into the studio in the middle of the night, and slays the vocals (singing the paint off the walls!) to convey the spur-of-the moment nature of the song. That’s how some of the best songs are created – organic, in the moment, not over-thought – and increases the “cool factor” of the song – it feels kind of like, “that’s how we did it back in the day.” I think it’s a pretty cool and funny story if you think about it that way.

  22. sparkle says:

Just read that there’s going to be a Glee Live Stage Musical! Is things go well for Adam’s character, he should be included because no one sounds better live than Adam. If they were smart, they could incorporate this into the show somehow – how about Adam being the star and director and costume designer of a new musical (a la Smash – I loved that part of the show!)that Rachel and Kurt and others try out for.

Thanks luval and jlurk. Think I’ll try jlurk’s suggestion. Had a similar problem before because of using MSN Explorer.

just quickly stopping by to say thanks to everyone who has found and shared so many tidbits lately. I am father behind than ever since my grandkids and of course their parents are here from France for the month! Ages 10, 6 and 3 and we are really busy! Had to go to work to begin to try and catch up and almost did.
I have the instagram issue too so will try jlurks suggestion.
Also want to belatedly wish HKFan a very Happy Birthday with wishes for a great year. And thanks, ulti for that vid that did a kind of recap of Glee NY.
So much to keep up with.

  30. sparkle says:

Hi little dutchess! Good to see you here – missed you! Good luck with the grandkids. Those ages are challenging individually, let alone as a group. Went on Firefox and was able to see the instagram pics. Thanks, jlurks!

Ulti, I loved that press party article all about how overjoyed Jessie Ware is at getting the praise from Adam. Simple statements like this one point out both his singing ability and his positivity and generosity in his competitive and often cutthroat business:

The vocal powerhouse regularly praises and recommends other artists’ music via his Twitter account

Here is a video of the interview. She starts talking about Adam, and the Glamberts, at 6:39.

Seriously, everyone needs to stop using Internet Explorer as their default browser on PCs. Download google chrome. Ask your kids. It is the browser they use and the most up to date for functionality as well as speed.

Hi everyone. Kiss Kiss Kiss I’m back online again. Been trying to catch up from July 11 when my computer died. What a mess I was in (without a computer) but worse mess without you guys here at ALL. I’m up to date reading in August but still lack reading the last couple of weeks of July. It’ll take me a minute to catch up. Heh

After a week or so of trying to get my computer fixed, I tried to find another older computer for sale locally because I don’t like Windows 8. I finally ended up scrubbing (sanitizing) my hard drive, then I spent 8 hours straight performing a Recovery and loading on the original software, etc., that came on it plus a few things that I wanted on it. As soon as I did that, I was once again able to log onto ALL and many other sites that my computer had for some reason lost my ability to connect with the passwords, etc. I’m hoping it will last a little longer. Seems to be working well enough now.

Don’t want this post to be too long, so I’ll break it right here…to be continued…

I also use Firefox. Never used IE. Downloaded Chrome but also did not like it. I know it is popular with tech folks though.

I want to wish Happy Birthdays, Happy Anniversaries, concert attendances, etc., to all of you who celebrated while I was away. I have enjoyed reading the good news from all who have shared on here.

Thanks to everyone for keeping our fires going with every little bit of information that could be shared concerning Adam and what he is up to these days.

Special shout-outs to my Ste. Agathe blanket buddies and all who shared that delightful weekend. Hard to believe that was a two-year-ago anniversary. Also shout-outs to my Winstar concert buddies. That one-year anniversary also passed while I was away.

Quick note concerning a couple of discussions that have gone on…I’m not crazy about Adam’s facial hair in general; but specifically, do not like just the moustache. I like facial hair barely there (on anyone). But, whatever he chooses to give/show us, we will just enjoy and continue to soak up his deliciousness. Beauty

The other discussion was about Cory Monteith. I also am a Gleek and have been going back and watching many, many Glee You Tube videos from various episodes. I love Cory and Lea. I have felt such a loss with Cory’s death. I thought I had bookmarked my favorite video that I wanted to post the link to, but can’t locate it at the moment. Oh well, maybe it will turn up.

    aely,

Whew…TGIF! School’s out, now it’s teacher time! Thanks for the info, aely. Unfortunately, I don’t have a computer, just an iPad. I’ll see if there is any way I can accomplish that with just an iPad. I gave my computer away to a needy college student this summer. I knew I would miss it, for this very reason, but had to weigh my music needs against a kid’s college education…

    It was close…lol!
