As July ends the “Trespassing” touring era now seems to be over with the last show at Paso Robles. But work continues as Adam is to be part of the Glee cast and also is guesting on Avicii’s new single “Lay Me Down”. It may be quiet on the touring front but there are always surprises.     Whether Adam was dropped by RCA, he walked away, or RCA
    didn’t use the one year resigning option, the result is all
    the same; Adam doesn’t have to pay RCA a cut off the top for
    any new music. It also kind of gives a time for #RCAisgone.
    Before he worked with Nile and Avicii.

    ultimathule…in my mind I can see very obsessed (in a good way) fans on the internet every waking hour searching everything…archives…old newspapers, theater papers…anything one can imagine to hit the jackpot. And they’ll probably find more.

    luval, Lay Me Down is definitely ON the album, I pre-ordered it from iTunes and it’s in the tracklist. We just don’t know if it will be the next single – Avicii will reveal it next week some time I believe. But – it could still be a hit, and it could still be a later single.
    I do think #TRUE needs promo in the US. This morning it was only #188 on the overall iTunes top music chart. Very high on the Dance chart, of course, and the song Wake Me Up is #7 on the overall chart. But going by what aely has said, being high on one of the subsidiary charts like Pop or Dance doesn’t really translate to a lot of sales. So…..if Avicii, Nile and Adam do a live performance at the AFTEE event it would be great promo, plus Avicii is headlining a music festival on the 30th. Maybe giving US stars like Nile and Adam the next single would help the album sell in the US????

    I worry a little bit about the way Nile portrayed Adam in his story – made him seem like an orphan. Maybe DMG needs to have a little chat with him, since he seems to be doing a TON of interviews.

    Yes, riskylady – the “hungover” bit was just too much for me. Don’t care if he was – he stepped up to the plate and blasted the paint off the walls – that’s all I want to hear.

    Thanks, riskylady. Haven’t ordered True yet. Is it better to pre-order now or wait until the release date? I have always pre-ordered everything! And I think I mentioned a few pages back I have yet to hear Wake Me Up anywhere in Central New York. Not top 40, not Dance, not “Movin'” where they play everything. Where is it?

    Hopefully a lot of “out of the bubble” people will not hear that interview.

    Speaking about out of the bubble/Adam/Glee/keeping squeaky clean…at work today Adam’s name was brought up by me of course and someone said “Oh you mean that guy from Idol who did that thing on the awards show a while back”? They just don’t let it go. Honestly I want people like this who are not in the Gleek/Adam blog bubble, etc. to see Adam on Glee as best-est as possible, with no “gates”, no nothing to distract from this new venture of his. Let them “fall into the glitter” if I may use that expression. I want them to like/love him as much as we do.

    And that interview at that club last night was great. He looked gorgeous & serene.

    I just so agree with you, luval – please let Glee happen with no “gates,” etc. – a big step forward in erasing the AMA’s from public consciousness when his name is mentioned.

    Am watching a Glee repeat right now. Yup…can see Adam right there with them. And I have to make a confession. I am barely reading any of the articles, posts, etc about Adam’s possible role. Didn’t watch the interview on Kelly & Michael. Am going to try real hard not to read any spoilers that will surely be popping up. I want to see him as fresh and new as possible ! Not sure if I can keep this up, though. Smile

    You know it’s funny, I always hear other people talking about how everyone always brings up the AMA’s. I have never had anyone say anything about that. Which is funny since I live in “conservative” Texas. Sometimes I get “oh the gay guy from Idol, he was great” but most of the comments I get is about the make up. Very few times does anyone say anything negative just questions. I was at the pool this weekend with about 20 people and the guy who was playing his music on his phone battery died. Everyone was like who has music. I just got a new phone and have not downloaded my music but had downloaded the live Hammersmith show. One of the guys was like cool Queen is great. I just started playing it without mentioning it was Adam. I just said it was from the concert I went to last summer. About 5 or 6 songs in the guys (group of about 10) were like hey, wait…is that the guy from Idol? I said yep. They were all like damn, dude can sing, and shocked that they couldn’t really tell much difference. So I held a Q & A (Nile and Avicii, etc)and told them I have tickets to Vegas. We listened to the whole show. I think the more of these things (collaborations) he does just helps him and makes him seem so much more cool than that “guy from Idol”.

    Lol, luval, I’m not sure about when to order. I have only pre-ordered stuff of Adam’s – this time, he asked us to. I figure I will get the single from Amazon, and also order it under my other iTunes account, when it comes out. But, I’m just guessing here, if pre-orders are good, doesn’t that give the album some buzz? Anybody?

    Loved that interview at Henry’s – he is just so personable, knows just what to say, charming to the max. I wonder…..could he be investing a little in their venture? He seems very close with them.

    Love your pool story, aely! I really think more guys are becoming fans, and I think his new look helps on that end, much as we might not prefer it. Have to say, it’s growing on me – these last few outings he has looked scrumptious.

    I dont have anything much to say, but just enjoying the heck out of the stuff you guys are finding and posting. Heres hoping Lay Me Down is a single, and clearer In Love sounding, have we ever heard the real version yet?
    There is no finalization on AI yet, I dont care about Jlo being on or Randy, bless his heart, but that stupid Wil i Am, I just cant stand him. I dont really care if Adam isnt on, only if he really wants it, then I feel bad that they didnt get him on.
    The couple up coming shows will be so much fun, I cant wait for them. Keep it up guys, I really love all you bring here, makes my day so much more fun!!!!!!!!! Clap

    Because I work in a teaching hospital I am around & work with anywhere from 5 to 30 people all day everyday. And they change every two weeks. Men, women, from all countries, many nationalities, all ages, sizes shapes & colors. I almost always wear my Adam Lambert bracelet & at times have my iphone with photos of Adam at the nurses station. I get questioned all the time about my bracelet…who is the name on it (it’s large, about an inch wide)and that’s usually where the talk of Adam starts. And of course I have my doctor friend who always shouts out “how’s your boyfriend Adam Lambert”. lol!

    Unfortunately I am too busy at work to really discuss, but at times I can talk and yes I get the “too much makeup” thing. It’s very very hard to say everything I want between phone calls, doctors orders, etc. etc. but I try! I think I’m going to print hand-outs. Smile It’s surprising how many people have never heard of Adam too. And these are young med students and interns. Haven’t had the AMA’s brought up in quite a while but it does surface every now and then.

    Twenty-one-year-old nephew who likes Adam and thinks he has an extraordinary voice brought up the AMA’s when he was here about a week ago and said he thinks it was damaging and still is.

    Lately, I don’t hear AMA references. I hear Glee and Gay stuff. But in a positive way.

    Whoever made the post about cray shippers in Glee-dom was so right. I went to a few Glee blogs a couple of years ago, and holy moly, they have crays as bad or worse than the Adommy crays. Needless to say, I left immediately and never went back. I wait for regular news and MJ for updates about Glee.

    They have some real nasty stuff out there. And I do think because some of the fans are so young, they post very harsh and negative stuff without realizing the consequences. It’s just like the death threats Selena Gomez would get about Biebs. Very immature.

    Best I can tell, the loop earring first appeared between mid February and early March 2010.

    Adam talked about auditioning in Vegas for We Will Rock You when he was talking about the concerts with Queen last summer. Brian made some funny comment when he heard of it, as in those handling auditions should have been fired.
