As July ends the “Trespassing” touring era now seems to be over with the last show at Paso Robles. But work continues as Adam is to be part of the Glee cast and also is guesting on Avicii’s new single “Lay Me Down”. It may be quiet on the touring front but there are always surprises.     It sounds very weird to me that Adam should tone himself down for Glee role. But I am not surprised if he wants to keep his private life more private because of the cray stuff from fandom. Whoever is going to be his next boy friend, it’s not an easy spot to step into…

    Talking about toning down, some of that has obviously happened (no make-up, no glam, no wild partying). But can’t say if it is natural (he feels like that atm) or a kind advice from his management when reaching new territories. Anyway I take what I get, happily Smile Well, that short hair with full beard doesn’t sound very tempting…

    I had the most fun reunion with my old acting club pals from my teen years on Saturday. It was a lovely crazy group and that feeling was still there Big Smile Everyone was so open and honest about their lives, so we had serious convos but also a lot of fun. Anyway, when we told each other about our lives, what we do, I slipped I’m very much into music nowadays, go to the fan sites etc. When I was asked what/who, I was once again prepared to give a speech how wrong image about Adam people get based on what’s in the news. But immediately one guy said that Adam was amazing with Queen. So I asked have you seen them (vids) and he said of course! OF COURSE. He plays in a rock band himself, as a hobby. So I wasn’t a weirdo! I didn’t get a chance to ask if he knows other Adam’s own songs than those which are played in the radio here. Maybe I spam him with some other vids Grin

    cwm, the last time that Adam tweeted out what he was wearing I speculated the exact same thing, and this second time really makes me think that it could be product placement, especially since he didn’t mention the shoes that he has worn before. (Thanks, nkd!)
    Makes me very happy that Adam has reached a place where designers want to be seen on him.

    Thanks for the thoughtful feedback about my post from last night.

    Please let me clarify that in no way, shape or form, did I ever intend to mean that Adam shouldn’t be true to himself. Part of his appeal and what draws us to him is his courage to be who he is and stand up for equality so extremely well.

    This includes the right to be with who he chooses to be with.

    As a fan of Glee since episode one, the plot lines absolutely focus on equality and freedom of expression and there are many LGBT characters. It’s part of what I adore about the show. It’s also dramedy galore with singing and dancing. At times it’s like seeing a Broadway show every week.

    Glee fans are of all ages. Glee fans tend to be open minded and fiercely protective of their stars and characters. There is tons of fanfic and shipping. Tons of fan art. Gazillions of blogs and tweets.

    I think Glee fans and Adam fans have a lot in common. Wink

    But, in real life the vast majority of the cast is straight, even some of the gay characters are played by straight actors.

    I’m just in my own way, in my own imperfect words, saying that I think Adam as such an out person, who brings such a wealth of experience in the arts, who brings such a vast array of fashion sense, and performance on tour with both a Broadway play and his own tours, has so much riding on this.

    I would hate to see a “scandal” erupt about a new boyfriend. I just think he should keep his private life private for a while, not to hide his relationship as a gay man, but to keep himself out of scandal type press while he is starting out on Glee.

    Clearly, Glee fans accept gay equality and support LGBT issues. So do I.

    Oh, and I just so very strongly think that the surprise at AFTEE will be Bowie. Bowie. Bowie.

    And, I just think that he was making it easy on his twitter feed to announce who he was wearing.

    As I recall, that shimmering white suit he strutted down those pink stairs and excited every neuron in my brain and whatsis by singing Feeling Good on Idol was by Dolce and Gabbana. They wanted to dress him on Idol.

    I would think there would be some practicing going on soon for the Aftee show. If Bowie were to show up I can only think of one song they would do….Let’s Dance….with Adam. I can just imagine them playing off of each other (with Adam shrugging back to let Bowie take the spotlight). Although my heart says Bowie, my head says not. Geez I’d love to go. There’s time off from work, ticket price, 6 hour drive…not enough lead time. But anything can change!
