Perhaps he sent a clean shaven look-a-like to NYC just to pull our chain? His earrings pressure on his lobes appears to not be as strong – might he be shrinking the holes over time? Here’s hoping…

Katy Perry’s manager Steve Jensen owns a house on Vashon Island and he is also a founder of Direct Management Group (DMG) so it could have been a business trip.
Maybe Adam left that same night (pics of the party were daytime pics) and took a red eye to NY, spent Sunday there, then took a flight to LA today. You gain 3 hours, so he could leave at 2 and still make it. Remember when he flew from London to San Francisco for one day to do that concert in Golden Gate Park and sang “Hot Stuff”?

Just watched the vid of Adam at the Lovelace premiere. He looks exquisite to me. He sure knows how to work the carpet with his drop dead poses, centered mainly around those beautiful eyes. So happy for him and all the success that seems to be coming his way. For me, he will always be “simply the best, better than all the rest”.
Off to Portland/Vancouver for a few days…will hopefully hook up with Ladybugs. I wish you all a safe and happy rest of your week.

Brian May still hasn’t had surgery. He tweeted about 10 minutes ago he was “on” his hospital bed…not in it. Surgery about 1pm London time, about 8am EDT.
I had a feeling mustache was still there. That Eli guy on the red carpet had such a stank face.

Did you hear Adam just after the 3-minute mark saying to someone, “I have no idea, no indication of what I’m doing,”? That must be in answer to a question about Glee.
If that’s true then we’ll have to scratch the theory that Adam might be growing his moustache for a Glee role. Which is good because, like aely, I am pretty much over the funeral preparations for melvin.
I like Eli – stank/annoyed face and all. I love his “Young Love” song and it would be great if he did something with Adam. Based on his music, he seems to be a serious person. Any collaboration would be very interesting.
He is so different from Adam in sensibility. Can’t see them together as a couple but theirs would be a very interesting “opposites attract” relationship.
He is probably feeling awkward and wondering where to stand. Eli strikes me as a pretty self-sufficient guy but this is an off-kilter situation and he’s feeling it. Good luck, dude.

No one was interested in the fact that Adam attended the premiere with Eli Lieb? The intense eyes guy behind Adam in the beginning of the video? He is the out gay singer that Adam retweeted about on July 10 and there is a picture of the two of them walking side by side on July 13? He is 33 and from Iowa, was in NYC for 10 years before coming to LA. Recently wrote a song with Cheyenne Jackson (gay actor that played choir director of opposing choir on Glee)? He is small, but not exactly elf-like. A fan did a collage of him and Adam and he tweeted that he would have to show that to Adam.

Thinking about Brian – how long does knee sugery take? They must be in the middle of it right now. It’s a pretty finickedy procedure. The worst thing is the recovery. You have to stay off your feet and we all know how good men are at doing that. What’s a little walk here and there?

And nobody seems interested in the Mississippi Choir either. I would love to think that they might be back-up for something that he is involved in.
When knee repl surgery goes well, people are up walking on it the next day or two and depending on their type of job (sitting vs standing vs physical labor), might be back to work as fast as 2 weeks (if mostly sitting job) or 6 weeks if job involves standing. Longer – 6 months or so – if job involves physical labor. Lots of time in physical therapy, both outpatient formal therapy and stuff at home. Swimming great home therapy. But every case is different, with different immune system reactions and different nerve pain issues and different levels of scar tissue. But if have a lot of pain and instability pre-op, have to roll the dice and hope that after knee replacement recovery, it will be better than before. My husband is facing knee replacement – almost no cartilage left. But he is an MD and knows the risks and the pain and the recovery potential issues, so he is postponing as long as he can with a custom orthotic brace, one of those ones with the metal hinges on the sides. The brace helps a lot for work (where he does mostly standing all day) and helps when he has to walk a lot in non-work situations. But eventually he will get to where the pain and instability is worse than taking a gamble on the surgery. One of his partners recently had hip replacement surgery and she was only supposed to be out of work for 6 weeks, but she developed an infection, so it has been longer because the infection prevented rehab. So you never know how yours is going to go -everyone is different. Good to have surgeon that has done lots of them though.
Educated guess: if Adam doesn’t know anything about his character, then he’s not in the first three episodes.
You generally don’t see anything prior to episode read-through but I would bet that most guest actors are given a bit of an idea about their character shortly before filming.
I did see that the Mississippi Choir tweet was from LA. Other forums that noticed this now believe that he was not actually in NYC per those other tweets of seeing him. In fact people joking that since Adam Levine is in NYC currently filming a moving and he recently shaved his beard – it was probably him – haha.
Thanks for the rundown, soccermom. My thoughts led more to his doing the Vegas stint even though his recovery rate might might make it inadvisable. The show must go on, as they say. Over the long haul, though, Brian’s health is more important.

On Brian and his knee though, since he is having it today, 6 weeks would be up just prior to the Vegas thing. And it isn’t like they are doing an hour and a half set, or at least I assume they are not. I am sure they will have a stool on stage that he can use if he needs to. But not exactly huge physical labor effort to play guitar. But this surgery will likely keep Queen + Adam events to one-offs and no tour type stuff, which Adam will probably not have time for or is not interested in anyway. I think Adam fans would just like to see a couple of US full concerts like the London/Europe ones so people that could not go to those would have a chance.
Yes, I saw riskylady joke about it being Adam Levine in NYC, but just lol’d at that until I read elsewhere that Adam Levine is actually in NYC now filming and clean shaven. It could have been Adam in NYC, there was just barely enough time, it just seems unlikely, particularly since the Mississippi Choir tweet said it was from LA?
BTW, M and PJ dropped by my neighbourhood on Sunday and we went out for dinner. Had a lovely time and, as usual, PJ documented everything. He photographed the walk to the restaurant, our meal, nearbye storefronts, my living room and almost all of my first editions. Methinks he missed his true calling. The one photo that eludes him: Adam and M together .
I hope they bring Brian in on a litter if necessary.
As for other concerts, I honestly don’t think their contracts with WWRY and Queen Extravaganza would ever have permitted tours in North America or Europe this year.
If anything is planned, it will be next year. IMHO, their participation in iHeart doesn’t really make sense unless they are looking for a US promoter. They are not planning to launch radio singles any time soon, so why bother?
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
I agree TLKC on Queen and Iheart – why bother otherwise? If the Freddie film was still a go, then maybe it would just be a form of promotion for that (although maybe they booked this before that fell apart). I guess it could be a form of promotion for interest in the WWRY and Queen Extravaganza tours. But I don’t think they would be doing it just to help out Adam. They have been talking about working on some new songs and ativating old ones still unreleased. So they could be planning an album I guess, maybe with Adam or guest artists or some just Brian and Roger singing – they are not too shabby on certain types of songs on their own.
But 2014 is not that far away now!

Looking at those videos, doesn’t seem to me that Adam is “with” Eli. In fact, he seems to distance himself from him and not even acknowledge him. Maybe he just gave him a ride. At the end of the red carpet, looks like the attendant asks him about it, and he dismisses it, looks like he left him to go in on his own. And, not at the after party either. I hope he hasn’t become a “hanger-on.” Adam being kind might create expectations.
