RL got in the way of my July blog reading- so starting fresh in August. Intend on catching up someday! Hopefully we will get news about AI. Wtoday.. trying not to care. TG our boy has plenty of goodies on his plate no matter what. If AI goes with JLo they haven’t learned a thing.
Heard a rumor that Adam was going to play a womanizer on Glee. That would be wonderful way to test out his acting chops.

It’s exciting but also a bit confusing to follow all these news about Adam. This is the picture that I see: the new strategy seems to be presenting Adam to potential listeners from many directions at the same time. Song collabs with different kinds of artists. Disco with Avicii and Nile. Queenbert. Glee. Then new own music, when the interest is highest possible. But at this point all the options are quite open what how and when – at least to us fans. I really hope Adam knows more than us…
I had to google Avicii, had not heard about him, lol. Even though he’s from neighbor country, but I don’t follow TOP-40 music scene that much. Is he as popular in US as in Europe? I would really like to hear “Lay me down” as a studio version, in video recordings other noise covers singing too much. Not my kind of music, but a very catchy song. As well as Wake me up, I like it.
I don’t know what to think about Idol. Adam would be good at it. I’d love to see him on my tv. If they don’t hire him, it’s their loss IMO. My guess is there is a lot of controversy about that, in the production. Many probably think he’s what the show needs, but maybe there are others who are afraid to take a risk – Adam would be loved by many but also a red garment to some? So they play it safe and boring… For me that’s a mistake, but I don’t know the target audience in US. Like many of you I just hope Adam is ok with the result if he will be turned down.

I don’t know the possible roles on Glee but don’t want him to play someone too old… It’s little difficult to imagine Adam in any role, because he is such a strong personality. I know he’s done it a lot in music theater, but for me he is Adam Lambert

LadyNorth there seem to be 5 new roles but none of them seem like perfect matches for Adam. Most of them are men in their 40/50s. I hope he isn’t playing someone too old and/or unappealling. Want him to be loved by the audiences not thought of as old and creepy. Well, we will just have to wait and see.

As far as a womanizer, the mind boggles at the thought of what Adam, with that face and charisma, could do if he were so “inclined.”
TCA (Television Critics Association) day is where networks talk about the upcoming TV seasons. Speculation is that they might announce the Idol judges during this meeting. Every network does it and it is a big deal.

The guy from ET said talks with Adam have stalled about Idol. In other words they are leading him on again. I wish he would (or could) tweet Fox and Idol with a big ol’ F U.

If Adam had to choose between Idol and Glee, and chose Glee, I agree 100%. In Glee, he’ll be acting, singing, possible songs on iTunes. On Idol, yes he’d be great, but controversy, haters, fan wars again. Oh, well…..

If that is the judging panel, they are going back to nicey, nicely judges who can’t give honest constructive criticism. And no fire or wit. BORING. Don’t understand them.

Idol still seems to hold a lot of sway over our crowd here. Such a love/hate relationship!
I am glad that Idol brought Adam into the consciousness of America, but other than that? meh. And I would just as soon he not participate in a show that is obviously not on the cutting edge of anything these days. A collab with Avicii and a gig on Idol are like Janus faces, IMHO.
My son was surprised by the Avicii collab; thought Avicii was too cool to work with Adam. So clearly that was a step in the right direction.
And all the tweeting Adam does about other peeps’ music? To his mind, it is excitement and sharing with his fans; but to others who don’t know him all that well it may also be an interesting affirmation that Adam is aware of what is current, and not just about Idol and covers.

Well this feels like deja vu all over again. Why can’t I be paid millions and millions of dollars to make stupid decisions that are about as fresh as the tread on my five year old tires???? I am going to do a bit of whining then I promise to let this go. It is like AI hadn’t fired all their producers and just turned back the clock three years. Throwing a huge budget at the judging panel while ignoring your show needs to be revamped or die. Unbelievable.
I truly hope Adam had no real interest in this and that he isn’t dissappointed. His loyalty to his alma mater can’t be that boundless.
Still hoping that he has some type of role but the latest scuttlebut is that Randy “the dawg” will be back as well. YIKES

I was just pondering this whole thing. The whole “renaissance” with Nile began with his collab on Shady. Between his blog, Glamberts on social media, etc. word got around that he was on the album, as well as Pharrell. Before that, both legends (Nile and Pharrell) were working but sort of under the radar. Then suddenly, Nile and Pharrell hook up and Get Lucky (which to me is like Shady tweaked and standing on its ear – “up all night” “to get some” anyone? – is born. J/s.
I’m not unhappy, in fact I thank the Universe that Nile seems to be that rare artist who is kind and caring and whose actions back that up. He has shown that by putting Adam in touch with Avicii, which might not have happened otherwise.
I wonder if the guys at RCA and Idol went to school together. They sure share the same brand of shortsidedness.

Did anybody catch that new show with Nick Lachey tonight? There was a contestant who did Adam’s version of Born To Be Wild.
I think there must be a behind the scenes Glambert there. They have also done his Feeling Good and maybe another of Adam’s Idol songs.
And, Blurred Lines last night on AGT was sooooo good. IMHO. The beginning was a tad reminiscent of Adam’s Let’s Dance from Divas.
It takes a real pro to acquaint adults with their inner Glambert, Mils; gotta go slow and careful. Some of us have it a lot easier with young kids (thinking about your niece and nephew Aely), they just seem to be able to tune into him immediately, like they know good when they hear it, and that’s enough. Could be there are a lot of peeps with the Adam gene, but the younger ones seem orient themselves so quickly and seamlessly to that voice. They hold no preconceptions about how to feel about him and his talent, it’s just..there, and they like it!
