Well guys it’s time for our August Chat thread. Here is one of my favorite pictures from St. Agathe. Another month with a major event. VH-1 is kickstarting the revamp of their fantastic series Behind The Music featuring Adam. Will everybody be watching on Sunday night???

    not sure, I get enough eye rolling from hubby at the best of times, not sure what I’d get if I did that on holiday. Hoping my son will take his laptop, so may get the odd five minutes here and there…

    HK fan, I know how you feel. I spent 3 weeks Internet-free and I had serious withdrawals. But I hope you have fun on your vacation and we will all be happy to fill you in on the highlights when you get back. And happy travels to you too, mils!
    I don’t see anything wrong with mentioning Adam met Sauli in a bar. (After all, he probably didn’t go to the bar in order to pick someone up.) I congratulate Adam on his presence of mind and people skills to recognize a special person and not let the opportunity pass him by. I could certainly learn from him. Wink

    Since Adam seems to always have an entourage when going out, it is really amazing that he met Sauli…on his way out of the bar! He must have taken notice of him from across the room earlier in the evening and just decided to take a chance. That is his motto in life. What were the words he used in the BTM special? Go for it …you do not want to have regrets later on if you don’t. Something like that. LOL

    I think in one of the recent fan vids, they showed the entry to Jenny Woo’s, and it looks like a nice, upscale place (didn’t Adam say that also?) I bet he saw Sauli, was interested and then asked Jenny about Sauli before approaching him. She sort of intimated that per one of the Finnish fans’ translation of an account of that night.

    I searched through Adam’s tweets back to May 22nd to find this referrence I remembered that he made when someone asked him about meeting Sauli in a “shady” bar. (nice reading by the way. He loves us!)

    That picture of Adam and Sauli together literally does things to my insides. It is the most beautiful picture of the two of them I think we’ve seen. They are both just beaming with love and happiness. And talk about two gorgeous men.

    I was reading the comments under this picture over at 24/7, and a couple of people were saying that the kiss that Adam blew at the end of Aftermath in Ste. Agathe was actually directed at Sauli. For those of you who were there, is this true? (From the angle of the videos, I hadn’t realized that it was directed at Sauli, I just thought it was a super sweet kiss of appreciation to the audience.)

    Apparently fans who glanced at Sauli right after Adam blew him the kiss say that Sauli blew a kiss back to Adam and then grinned from ear to ear.

    Ah, love. It’s a beautiful thing. Smile

    Any of you who were there notice any of this?

    Hi cam…I remember the blowing of the kiss but when he did it, to me it looked like it was directed to someone on his left side in the audience. A woman was holding a huge annoying sign saying “Adam, blow me a kiss” but it was not directed to her at all. So maybe it was to Sauli but it could gave been to everyone. Maybe should have answered on the Ste Agathe thread.

    I see over at Juneu and Xena site that Adam may have gotten another tattoo. Can’t bring it over…am at work sneaking this!

    Also at same site a very funny bunch of tweets of sitting next to Adam and friends at the ape movie. They are flailing. He smells good…..looks better in person than on tv, etc…..

    Oksana…thanks for the link. For a while (okay, hard to admit to this) I was attending the annual national Barbie conventions. Kens and Barbies are made over into all sorts of peeps, and they actually bring large $$$ from collectors. These are remarkably well done! Love the attention to detail. They will be bought and become treasured parts of collections. Quick buck? the peeps who make these dolls spend many, many hours on them. Rerooting the hair, making tiny accessories, repainting the face, etc. At the convention, there are workshops on how to do these things. It is highly skilled and a labor of love.
    But Adam and Barbie…an odd juxtaposition. Adam and Ken…actually not a bad pairing.
    Wait for it…there will be a Sauli doll. Probably already is.

    Also, and more important still, did you notice that Adam’s new management is also the management of kdlang!!!! Maybe someday we will get that duet!!!

    There is a TERRIFIC article/interview with kd in the summer issue of Alberta Views Magazine which I just read yesterday and I got to thinking again about that very thing. Although kd doesn’t seem to have had the identity issues that Adam did growing up, their paths were very similar. Like Adam, she LOOOVES performing, which is why she has toured the folk festival circuit in western Canada this summer. There’s even a quote that hers is “the greatest voice of her generation”, which we’ve heard about bb too. Unfortunately, Alberta Views is not online and I’m not capable of scanning my copy…just yet, anyway.

    I never went to any Trekkie convention but I’m pretty sure there are enough dolls of all StarTrek characters.
    OMG, there must be Lord of The Rings convention, Twilight convention and I don’t even want to go into Harry Potter territory…
    Do you think we gonna have American Idol convention? Possibilites are mindboggling.. Sanjaya doll..Gokey doll..all pretty Idolettes dolls.. Rolls Eyes

    Kradamour, I’ll take back everything I said about Adam dolls. I checked Ebay, these dolls go for around $130, and peeps are bidding on them.
    It only shows how little I know about collectors world Oops!
