    Long Island Iced Tea:

    1/2 oz triple sec
    1/2 oz light rum
    1/2 oz gin
    1/2 oz vodka
    1/2 oz tequila
    1 oz sour mix
    cola
    lemon wedge for garnish

Sounds good to me. Grin (hic) Oops!

  2. Kradamour says:

Hmmm…a Long Island iced tea…very tempting! but maybe I should have just a Short Island iced tea tonight, I just got back from a sailboat trip and I’m pretty tired. Smile

Welcome cocoglam and daughter! I like how you said “something weird has happened to you”. I believe that’s how many of us feel. This is a blog where otherwise perfectly reasonable people can to be fools for Adam. I think you fit right in.

  4. asifclueless says:

    I’m watching BTM right now.
If anybody is interested, this link is working. Good luck!!!

  9. Kradamour says:

Watched the last few minutes! thanks, asif!

Okay, looks wonderful, hoping for youtubes! HK fan, so glad you got the first part of your birthday present tonight!

Yawn. Off to the feathers. Or the clouds. Or whatever it is this month LOL!
    Sweet Adam dreams, y’all.

  12. milwlovesadam says:

Just watched. Loved it. Very nice. Lots of nice photos. Lots of nice family/friend stuff.

Honest critique: A full 45 minutes All about the GAY. GAY GAY GAY.
We get it. He’s GAY. Psssst. I have a secret to tell you, He’s GAY!! Can you believe it? Who woulda thought? Hey Marge, he’s gay!! Protect the children!!

How about, the talent, the voice, the uniqueness of the voice, the fans, the charity
( OK, Trevor was mentioned ). Oh, and where was Neil?

Geebus. When, oh when, will they do a story about his freaking talent??

Don’t get me wrong, it was great to have Adam on my TV for a whole hour ( minus commercials ). But, honestly. It’s time to move forward. Because, openly gay singer Adam Lambert is about to launch his sophomore CD. Let’s talk about that for a change.

I’m sorry. I’m not trying to be offensive. It’s just that this was already done on THS. Rant over.

  13. Ron says:

THAT was the focus, mils?! Rolls Eyes Jeez, I’m sure there were parts that were enjoyable but it doesn’t sound like I missed very much. Neutral

  14. Kradamour says:

So Mils, whataya think? Is he gay? Rolls Eyes

I get your point. And I agree. But I also think that being on TV is always good. He is gorgeous, likable, and endlessly patient with the “gay”. While we are waiting for more music, a lot of peeps have never heard of Adam or even know that he had a first album, never mind working on the second. So yeah, we didn’t need more of the same; but for many, it really is new, or a reminder of a performer on the very edge of their radar screens – even though that is so hard for us to understand.

  15. milwlovesadam says:

The bonus clips are so cute! Love his profile look when he forgot Brian Mays’ name.

I thought about deleting my above post, but, I’m leaving it. Ya’ll can feel free to rip me to shreds. Whatever.

  16. sparkle says:

    Mils,

I am in 100% agreement with your critique. However, I must admit it was interesting to hear Adam’s perspective now, 2 years after Idol. Did you watch the bonus clips? What I can’t get over is that they didn’t retape the one about Queen since Adam blanked on Brian May’s name!

  17. asifclueless says:

    Dadbert is hilarious!!! Grin

    milestougeaux Miles Tougeaux

#AdamBehindTheMusic ? And here I was thinking he was out in front of it.

    LOL

  18. milwlovesadam says:

Yup. Ron, honestly, I should have expected it. It was nicely done, but, rehashed for us die-hards. Kradamour, yes, some folks out there aren’t that familiar with him. Maybe this will encourage some to try his next CD. I’m not sure.

I’m still thinking that new fans will be overseas. Unless he puts out a killer first song and video, he’ll just be openly gay singer Adam Lambert forever.

Honestly, a full 45 minutes of GAY. How about the voice? The talent? The twitter-social media? etc.

  19. asifclueless says:

Hope to get the whole thing on youtube tomorrow.

The 4 bonus clips are really good. Love the one about performing with Queen.

Here is the link again … in case.

  20. nkd says:

It did seem more of an introduction piece for those that don’t know Adam. But damn, he looked gorgeous!

  21. milwlovesadam says:

BTW, nkd, I totally agree about your comment about the B&W picture. I like a fiercer and sexier Adam myself, if you couldn’t tell.

With all the hoopla tonight, I hope he gets a chance to see True Blood. “Cuz it was a dilly!

  22. Ron says:

    Hi nkd!

Mils, Adam did Tweet about the show and encouraged people to tune in. Perhaps he saw it, liked it and gave it his seal of approval? I think he must have seen it to want to promote it.

  23. milwlovesadam says:

Ron, of course he did! It is a good show, and as Kradamour pointed out, not everybody knows him like we do.

It is an hour of Adam fandom well-spent. It’s just truly, all about the gay. Maybe I’m just silly for expecting it to not be all about the gay. I just don’t think it’s “news” anymore.

  24. Kradamour says:

Kradamour, yes, some folks out there aren’t that familiar with him.

Or, more likely, some folks most people out there aren’t that familiar with him.

I have been telling quite a few people about my trip to Canada – lots of peeps I know speak French, are interested in trips to Quebec, happy to hear about it. But they have no idea who Adam is, or they saw the AMA performance and never got past it, or saw the AMA performance and didn’t think he was that great a singer (he wasn’t, for that performance), or knew him from Idol but have never heard him on the radio since and thought he had just melted away as the runner-up.

So yes, we shrug, we get frustrated, and we think “geez, can we move on, please?” but if the media moves on completely, they will lose a bunch of peeps in the dust. Adam still needs these programs that bring people up to speed. As long as they are done well, and are fun to watch, with lots of eyecandy, it’s all good. Smile

  25. asifclueless says:

I give him a pass for forgetting Dr. Brian May’s name.
I always mix up names of my family members and pets and quite a few times call my DH by the dog’s name.

  26. Ron says:

Well, assuming Adam liked it, who am I? I haven’t even watched it. Smile It just concerns me that instead of creating interest in his voice, his music and drawing new fans in, concentrating on the GAY will turn, unfortunately, too many people off.

  27. cgesq says:

    Mils,
I absolutely agree with your point. You never hear Elton John being introduced as “gay singer” Elton John or Ellen Degeneres being called “gay talk show host” Ellen DeGeneres. Talent is talent, no matter what the sexual orientation of the artist is. We are all watching and listening to him because of his amazing voice, stage presence and unique ability to connect with the audience–not because he happens to be gay.
PS He also happens to have blue eyes. How come they don’t refer to him as openly blue eyed singer Adam Lambert??

I wish they would have focused more on the fantastic vocals and grammy nod. But that being said, it was still wonderful to have an entire show devoted to ADAM Smile

    Well, I think I wished everyone a good night hours ago…guess I’ll go make that a reality….

  29. milwlovesadam says:

Ron, and kradamour, I agree with both of you.

Oh well. To bed. To work in the morning.

I will say, ending the show with the acoustic WWFM playing was quite nice.

  33. ultimathule says:

Well, it was just what I pretty much expected. As someone who’s been following Adam since 2008, there were about 90 seconds of new material. That’s OK as what I’m primarily interested in is whether or not this program will encourage people to buy his music. Adam may have assented to this BTM delineation of his passage through a troubled youth to encourage others so burdened – a worthy goal. But I feel, with his second album coming down the pike, it’s time for the media and Adam to say that it’s been discussed to death – there’s nothing more to add – and let’s look to what’s happening now and the goals for the future. If, perchance, there’re any other programs of this ilk emerging, I won’t be among the audience. Give me new music.

  34. Kradamour says:

turquoise, loved the vid – thanks! but please also post it on the concert thread? It belongs there, too. I really appreciated that the youtuber credited the vids she used to make the compilation. I wish that everyone would.

I’m not going to say much only that I completely agree with you Mils and ultimathule. Sigh…

I so agree with asif. I loved every minute of the show and especially the extra clips. Even if there wasn’t much (who are we kidding? anything) new for us uberfans, the show wasn’t geared for us, but for casual fans, or people who don’t know him, or only know him from the AMAs and don’t like him. I think it gave them an appreciation of what he has had to cope with as well as a taste of the personality we fell in love with, and the high regard he has garnered from professionals in the business. Would I have wanted more about his charities, his new music, the emmy nom? of course, and less gay? of course. But for what it was…Well done, and thank you. VH-1!
