Well guys it’s time for our August Chat thread. Here is one of my favorite pictures from St. Agathe. Another month with a major event. VH-1 is kickstarting the revamp of their fantastic series Behind The Music featuring Adam. Will everybody be watching on Sunday night???

    Hello everybody. My daughter and I have been following these threads(MJ’s, before this),for approx.1 1/2 years now! Finally decided to join the fun and chat with everyone. Seems like I know all of you and what has been going on in your lives. We too are major Adam fans(attended 10 of the GlamNation Concerts!)and think he is just the most talented, charismatic young man to come along in this, and the past century! As a woman in her late 50’s(hate that!)and a mother of 3-even a son the same age as Adam,I thought it so odd that I had turned into a groupie!! Never have followed any celebrity before(maybe the Beatles as a kid), and since growing up and living in the LA area, never gave a second thought to who we knew, or who my children knew. And then came ADAM. I still think something weird has happened to me, but it sure makes me happy, and loving Music Again! Hope to meet some of you soon, and thanks for sharing all of your lives with fellow stalkers!

    This is a wonderful read — very loving and uplifting. Flecking Records did a couple of pieces on what there is to love about Adam. Lots and lots of fans helped come up with a myriad of reasons. LOL

    cwm thanks for the blog posting. I am constantly amazed that Sauli has the reserve to not mention anything Adam. If we didn’t know better we would have thought he was traveling by himself. How does he manage to leave out probably one of the most incredable experiences of his life – seeing Adam perform- ? I know I couldn’t do it.

    cwm, thanks for link to sauli’s blog. I love his writing style, which even seems to come across in translations. (But French is easy, Sauli! Smile ) And that he doesn’t blog about Adam. They both are doing an excellent job of protecting that relationship, without highlighting that protection in an unnatural way. Does that make sense? Some celebs are so defensive about what they want to keep private. Adam just makes the point that he is open about everything else, and would like please to keep this one little piece of his life to himself, in a very nice way. And to read Sauli’s blog, you would never even know that he is acquainted with Adam! I love the wry archness of that.

    Believe Sauli, by his blog entries with no mention of Adam, is establishing himself as an individual personality and not, as I’ve mentioned before, just an appendage to Adam. This could be as important for Sauli as well as the privacy issue.

    Good point, ultimathule. Sauli has several times expressed his goal of a career in the celebrity world, and he is doubtless watching and learning from his time now with Adam. For their relationship to be successful in the long term, Sauli will need that individual indentity, and I would be surprised if that isn’t the subject of much conversation and thought. (Their conversation and thought, not ours LOL)

    For those of you who like Sauli’s blogposts and think he’s pretty dang funny, you should enjoy these. I found them over at The Home Planet (where else?).

    Apparently, according to “Nala” at The Home Planet, “Sauli hosted (yrs ago) a tv-show with his friend Niko where they showed funny and weird homevideos/commercials/other videos from all over the world. In between the actual videos S & N sometimes showed some clips of themselves.”

Sauli is naturally funny, a free spirit, a total goofball, willing to do most anything to entertain people and get a laugh, apparently doesn’t embarrass easily, and is completely adorable. Just like Adam. Smile They must be having a blast together, and lots and lots of laughs.

    Thunderstorm in Upper Marlboro, Maryland – lights blinking. If PEPCO (acknowledged by all customers as one of the worst companies in the universe) goes out, it’ll be a dark day (in more ways than one) in this household.

    Been sending out twits re #AdamBehindTheMusic – the more the merrier – and see that Neil is living up to his negativity – his nose is out of joint because twitterers are not spelling Neil correctly. Is the guy serious? lol

    I wonder if Adam pulled some strings to get into McQueen exhibit without waiting on line. The lines were enormous and waiting time was couple of hours just to get into Museum. And then was another looooong line for the exhibit itself.
    I’m pretty sure he did. Lucky boy.

    That black and white picture is gorgeous. He looks so young.

    Caught a couple of short promo clips on VH1. Of course they are all photos/clips from the AMA’s. But sounds like Adam is happy with the show so that’s all that counts.

    I have a question/favor/request —

    Does anyone out there have the capacity to record the BTM episode tonight and then burn it to a DVD? I don’t get VH1 and would love to have a copy of the episode for posterity (more Adamphernalia!) and also would love to be able to watch it on my big-screen tv instead of just my little computer screen.

    If you are willing to burn it to a DVD and mail it to me, I would be very grateful and very happy to reimburse you for “shipping and handling” expenses!

    cwm, my friend is recording this for me and burning on DVD, I just don’t know when I’ll see him. He did this for me with THS. If I can find someone, who would go to the post office for me, then I would mail it to you. Unless you know someone who lives in NYC and can pick it up personally.
    It will be recorded in HD.
