nkd… I’m still here in the Heartland of America.

Your recaps are wonderful. I feel as if I were there with you. Thank you very much.

It’s great to have you with us during our “waking” hours for a while.

Thank you for being so kind! Smile

I broke down and bought the peace pendant. I decided on the silver with the leather cord. I think I might wear it.

I emailed Tim at pennyroyal and explained the hesitancy of us 29 year olds to wear a peace symbol. He sent a very nice reply – he gets it – and suggested perhaps donating a portion of the sales from other horus or infinity jewelry (earrings, rings, bracelets). What do we think about that?

  3. adamland says:

Thank you cocoglam, cwm, adamized, Kradamour, Ceddies, nkd, Calgary and asifclueless. No asifclueless you weren’t a problem. I realized now that my life has gotten back on track careerwise that it was time to move on. I’m leaving the Adam fandom completely. Thank you again. Be kind to my good friends eywflyer and Suz526. Enjoy your Adam guys…

Tim at pennyroyal is very into this campaign. He’s on twitter day and night, it seems. It’s great that he responded to your email. So, what did you tell him you would like, Kradamour?

But…this 29 yr old is going to proudly wear her peace sign pendant. They all think I’m crazy already anyway! Who cares?!!
Just wait until I explain the significance of it and that it’s all related to Adam! Confused Grin

  5. asifclueless says:

Calgary… Thank you very much for introducing Burton Cummings to me.
I listened to “I Will Play a Rhapsody” and I like it.
Yes, his music has a stronger connection to Adam than the other artists I talked about earlier.
    Another great Canadian musician, eh?

I went to his site and found this.

For one of the great voices in rock, Burton Cummings, the famed lead singer, keyboardist and co-writer for The Guess Who — renowned for timeless hits such as “American Woman” and “These Eyes” — a new solo studio album has been a long time coming. Above The Ground released on May 25, 2010, marks 20 years since his last such album was released in the U.S.

I’ll listen to more of his album while waiting for Adam #2.
    Thanks again.

  6. cwm says:

Happy trails, adamland! Thanks again for everything, we’ll miss you, congratulations on your revitalized career, and I hope that you have many wonderful adventures ahead of you. Smile

    nekkid:
Tim at pennyroyal is very into this campaign. He’s on twitter day and night, it seems.

No kidding! He is totally committed to this project. He is talking about doing prize drawings as the donations reach various milestones:

    _Pennyroyal Tim Foster
contest idea! Winner names drawn from Peace Pendant buyers, prizes get better as @trevorproject donation total grows.

I draw a name from those who have bought a peace pendant when we reach $20K, $25K… etc… prizes get better and better…

Prize ideas: Peace Earrings/Ring, Retired E of H and Infinity pendants and Adam’s original signed drawing used to make the EofH pendant.

I’m working on a bunch of other prizes too.

The more we raise from the sale of the Peace Pendant, the more (and more valuable) the prizes we will give away. #PROMOTEPEACE

Hows this? I’ll randomly pick winners from my email list and not the Peace Pendant buyers. That way there is “no purchase necessary”. Smile

Join my mailing list at the very top of pennyroyalstudio.com

We’ll do a few different contests… all centered around the goal of selling more Peace Pendants for @TrevorProject. details soon…

He also suggests that it won’t be possible to re-issue new pendants for the Eye of Horus and Infinity pendants because he destroyed the molds. He only has a few extras left in the safe:

    _pennyroyal Tim Foster
Wow. I didn’t realize how many people want the original EofH pendant. I have a few extras that I put away in my safe 2 years ago.

I think I have about 20 extra EofH. I always keep a few of every design for historical purposes.

The original EofH mold was destroyed to make sure it’s never replicated and remains LIMITED.

These are truly the last 20 ever made.

I’ll never leave the Adam fandom completely, but where Adam is now indicates to me that he is on firm footing career-wise and that the boy that I/we so worried about for over two years is now a man secure in his talent and ability to make a good life for himself and those he loves. Sauli’s appearance just completes all that Adam desired so much. So, yes, my interest in the minutiae of Adam’s life has undergone somewhat of a change, but my interest in his magnificent voice has strengthened as I feel his abilities are unparalled in today’s music biz, and I’m interested where all this will go – especially worldwide. As already mentioned a while ago, I’m a long-time opera lover, and the human voice enchants me more than any other instrument. And there is something in Adam’s voice that goes straight to my heart – sheer beauty along with great intelligence.
One other I might recommend is Mario Lanza – a tenor whose untimely death robbed the world of one of the 20th century’s great voices. Some critics scoffed that he “sold out” to films, but he was highly trained and Placido Domingo spoke of him as one of those he admired most. Lanza, too, had one of those truly distinctive voices, filled with a golden warmth that was irresistible.

  14. cwm says:

asif — usually Sauli’s blogposts get translated by Finnish fans who do a good job of translating his Finnish into English that actually makes sense. I poked around a bit and didn’t see a good translation yet, but it may be too soon.

Here is Sauli’s blogpost translated in google translate:

    http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=fi&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fblogit.iltasanomat.fi%2Fsauli%2F

Haha even in google translate, it’s really funny. Sauli is such a crack up; I love his blogposts. He writes a little bit about the wedding, jokes about his and Adam’s little dust up in the tabloids about whether they would ever get married, and then goes into great detail about the 4-day juice cleansing fast that he has just embarked on. That explains Adam’s tweet about juice cleanses. I think they must be doing it together. Oh boy! LOL

  15. asifclueless says:

    cwm.. Thanks for the translation!!!

    Love the funny google translation.
I think I’ll like it more than the fan’s one because of the silly sense but we can always guess from the context.

Love the joke about the wedding dress. When I saw the OMG photos with Sauli’s hand on Adam’s heart, and their heads tilt towards each other, I thought of Sauli perfect white wedding dress. Grin

And, of course, is also annoying when they are not your own wedding did not come .. hahahhahahahha!! hahahhahahahha! Vakuumipussiin runttasin hääpuvun odottamaan oikeaa hetkeä.. Vacuum runttasin wedding dress waiting for the right moment .. Apua mikä sotku siitäkin syntyi kun vähän läppää heitettiin.. Help what a mess even born when the little flap was thrown ..

Good Night ALL. It’s almost 3 am. here in Kansas.

    Sweet A & S dreams.

Geez, is Adam talking about “the Master Cleanse”?

  17. adamized says:

Thank you all for sharing some lovely music picks with us. I ended up revisiting some of old time favorites and enjoying your guidance for new experiences. My very first album as a 12/13 year old was Cat Stevens “Tea for the Tillerman”. I was in love!!! His voice was so sad and dreamy and his looks to me were over the top sexy. Here is a vid to enjoy if anyone is interested with a Peace theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sjSHazjrWg&feature=related

I also find the voice of Israel Kamakawiwo’ole totally mezmorizing. Like Adam, he has that combination of warm undertones and beautiful pitch I find deeply moving.

Geez, is Adam talking about “the Master Cleanse”?

I just went to a website and read about it. I’m sure there is some kind of spiritual advantage to a minimum 10-day cleanse, but having just had my first colonoscopy, I can strongly recommend the one-day prep as the modern-day, instant cleanse ‘lite’, comes with a minor spiritual lift Wink

ETA – just read Sauli’s blog – it’s only 4 days, but I can’t imagine living on juice and salt water that long… I’m off to make waffles for breakfast now Big Smile

  20. luval says:

Actually The Master Cleanse doesn’t taste that bad. Warm water maple syrup, lemon juice and cayenne pepper. Did it for one day once.

  21. Ceddies says:

My very first album as a 12/13 year old was Cat Stevens “Tea for the Tillerman”.

Ah, adamized, I still own this vinyl. However, I was in my twenties when I bought it. Thanks for the reminder. I still pull out my vinyls occasionally.

Gotta check out the other guy you mentioned.

  22. riskylady says:

Haha, still laughing over Sauli’s blog. Love his musing that after the fast, will he look in the mirror and see the picture of Brad Pitt in Troy? LOL.
Ultima, I love Mario Lanza, had a huge crush on him as a young girl. Those were beautiful movies he made (The Student Prince, etc.) and his voice was golden. Taught me to love a new kind of music.

  23. luval says:

Kradamour. Earthquake in Virginia. We felt it here in central new york. Was Adam visiting? Smile

  25. ultimathule says:

Wow – that was a pisser of an earthquake (felt like I was back in Alaska or Taiwan). Live about 10 miles southeast of D.C. and the epicenter was apparently not too far away. Stuff fell off the walls and a bigger crack appeared in the brick front porch. Was not a short jolt – pretty strong at 5.8. Relatives calling from all over. Sorry, Glambert nowhere in sight.

  26. riskylady says:

Yes, dflowers, beautiful voice! and very handsome too. I understand he is very active in opera, but I also loved this song, a duet with Nicole Scherzinger. Surprised she actually can sing (of course, not as good as him, though but quite well).

    http://www.adamlambertlive.org/2011/gnt-albany-ny-082310

I want to express my deep appreciation for adamland‘s help in getting this site up and running during the past few months. You will be missed.

I’m looking for someone willing to help out as a concert thread moderator during the next tour. So far I have a couple of folks who have indicated that they will be able to fill in occasionally, but ideally I’d like to have someone who could run concert threads fairly regularly. Of course I will run a lot of them myself, but I’m sure there will be times during 100+ tour dates (we hope for that many dates anyway!) due to work or travel that I won’t be able to do the thread. So if anyone is interested, please let me know via the administrator site contact link above.

  28. luval says:

I was at the Albany concert…my second concert with someone who didn’t want to be there. Liked Adam but didn’t like the screaming, shouting, standing, whooping, etc etc. What’s wrong with him? Smile

Anyway, Leila was there…escorted down the center aisle by a couple of body guards. I was very close to the aisle but missed the whole thing.

Would love to run a thread but I am computer illiterate.

Mmmmmm, adamized! Of course, as always, I love something you love, too! I found a copy of Teaser and the Firecat in French a while ago (the book he did), which totally made me happy.

Re the earthquake…I missed it! I was in Richmond today for a variety of things, and was in a car with a friend when we felt as though something might be wrong with the suspension for maybe 20 seconds, that was all – I got to my son’s dorm a little later and tried to call him and there was no cell phone coverage at all – so went inside and found out there had been an earthquake! Here in Norfolk apparently it was much more severe, my husband’s office bldg. was evacuated.
And of course we have the hurricane on the way this weekend, so peeps are talking about 2012 and Armageddon.

If Armageddon starts here, I won’t mind it if Adam comes and sings for us. LOL

  32. HK fan says:

    Hi all,
    I’m back….
my eyes have now gone blurry after spending so long catching up on everything…and I haven’t done the St Agathe thread yet!
Loved Adams look at the Equality awards, and his speach etc. Haven’t been able to watch the DSA videos though as they all seem to have been pulled and can’t watch VH1. Have always had trouble with that site with Adam related stuff, can’t even watch his music videos, although can watch other artists.
Loved the wedding pics too, especially the ones of Adam and Sauli.
Still waiting to hear whos who on the NoH8 picture…

  33. Kradamour says:

luval, so much goodness came out of that photoshoot! thanks for the post. Those pics are everywhere! including, unfortunately, on a lot of pirated unlicensed merchandise.
I wish that Lee’s photos weren’t stolen so often. If there was more licensed merchandise, it might slow down the piracy. We are so hungry for Adam stuff! Rolls Eyes

  34. fwachdr says:

Hey, Kradamour, I’m back from the glambabies’ football game. I hope your house had no damage from the quake. My husband felt the tremors, but I was running errands in the car and didn’t feel it. At least when Adam sings for the big quake of 2012, it will be an awesome song! I have always loved TFM .

  35. adamized says:

We felt the EQ here in Baltimore. My office building was evacuated for a few hours and there were lots of sirens going off. Feeling the building moving under me was quite unsettling but the creepiest part was rushing down the steps with lots of people behind me some of which were none too calm. Once we were outside in the sunshine and had an opportunity to spread out a bit it was much better.

Cell phone service was non-existent and then very spotty for about an hour after the event.

Glad it wasn’t worse and other than a few broken items falling from overcrowded shelves things are fine here.

  36. nkd says:

It’s great to hear from those of you on the east coast. I do hope everyone is ok!

  37. fwachdr says:

Adamized, I’m glad your damage was minimal. I have a sister in Baltimore who moved out of California because of the EQ of 1971 and can’t believe she was just in a quake in Balt! Said it took 30 minutes for her heartrate to return to normal! I advised her to play her Adam CD to get her mind of the EQ.

  38. Kradamour says:

Froggie! Glad to see your post! (I sent you an email!)

Mmmm, TFM. Love that song. Love the vid especially the scene where he shrugs away the woman who brushes against him on the sidewalk, not sure why that little motion gets me every time.

I really, really need to see Adam in a full-length movie. Now, please.

  39. dcglam says:

    Thanks, nkd!
I was out shopping with my mom this afternoon when the earthquake hit here in the northern part of Virginia. All the customers evacuated the department store we were in at the time. Many people thought a bomb had gone off. Unfortunately, terrorist activity in the nation’s capital seemed a bit more likely than an earthquake in this area. This is the first earthquake I have experienced in my 40+ years of living in the DC area. Once is enough!

ETA: Adam in a full-length movie….. YES, YES, YES!!! Smile

  40. fwachdr says:

I wouldn’t mind if a quake took out the DC politicians but would hate to see any historical buildings/monuments damaged!
Let’s hope today’s EQ was the end of EQ’s for quite a while!
Hmmm, how can I relate this to AFL other than 2012 and TFM? I’m sure you clever Adam fans can think of a way.

  41. fwachdr says:

Off to bed. Sweet Adam dreams, you all.

  42. Kradamour says:

I saw the photo of the twins in the guitar case and thought that it was adorable. I assume that those are Monte’s twins.

  45. adamized says:

Yep, Monte’s twins fairly soon after they were born. Love that picture.

Sad about the Washington Monument. Hopefully it is structurally sound and can reopen soon.

Folks originally from CA were laughing at us yesterday during our evacuation saying that they would have just kept on working had they not been forced out of the building. I have to admit my first thought was an attack of some kind not an EQ. I was thinking about what a different world our children are growing up in where natural and man-made disasters are all too common place.

Some good news that is very much Adam related. Yesterday I heard on the news that an illegal immigrant who is married to another man and has been a productive member of society would no longer be a target for deportation. I believe this took place in CA where they are starting to look beyond the traditional man/woman marriage when evaluating whether someone should be allowed to stay in this country.

  46. Kradamour says:

Nice news to wake up to Adamized!
When I was teaching law some years ago I researched/wrote a paper on the issues impacted by our failure to recognize same-sex marriage. When people talk about civil unions being “just as good”, I just roll my eyes. There are so many corollary protections (like the one you just pointed out) to marriage that are not guaranteed in a civil union.

  47. Kradamour says:

Ooooh, nekkid did another installment of her Ste Agathe recap over on that thread! \o/
