Well guys it’s time for our August Chat thread. Here is one of my favorite pictures from St. Agathe. Another month with a major event. VH-1 is kickstarting the revamp of their fantastic series Behind The Music featuring Adam. Will everybody be watching on Sunday night???

    To get by the screaming, move up to 2:03 when the band and dancers come out. Adam comes out at about 2:55. Funny to see the feathers in his hat in the dark.

    I believe this was 8/20/10 Cohasset Tent. Interesting to see him just before he goes on stage. What must he be thinking?

    Luval, sorry! I hadn’t seen your post, I was just commenting about the pairing – I didn’t know anything about her, so had just looked her up and was surprised about that. Didn’t mean to seem snarky. I mean, it is true what you said in many, many cases lol.

    Luval, I love that video – aside from a few snippets on GNL, isn’t that the only one we have of what happens just before he takes the stage? I saved it, it’s so unique.

    Hi riskylady…Yes, I think that may be the only video before he comes on-stage. I’ve always wanted to ask him how he felt that first show…just before coming on. And I don’t know why, I almost like the screaming!

    Does anyone know if it is per hit, or if it is adjusted to population. Some of these countries have less than 10 million people. I believe only Iran has over 50 million. How can they beat out the States?
    Also, anyone know how to ‘pull a trend line’?

    They first looks at a sample of all searches to determine the areas from which they received the most searches for the term Adam Lambert. Then, for those top areas, they calculate the ratio of searches for the term coming from each area divided by total searches coming from the same area to determine the top ranking. In other words in Finland and Iran the term Adam Lambert is searched in proportion to population size inordinately more than the U.S. or Canada

    We talked here about Adam’s new Peace Pendant at Penny Royal Studio, with 30% of proceeds going to The Trevor Project.

    It turns out that the huge amount of traffic that came into the Penny Royal site on Tuesday to buy the pendant crashed their server and broke their shopping cart software, so they have now spent the last 2 days rebuilding their website on a much larger server that can handle more traffic. LOL Leave it to Adam fans to break every website they come across when it comes to purchasing Adamphernalia or supporting one of Adam’s causes!

    So, if you tried to buy the pendant earlier this week but had trouble doing so, it should work for you now…

    It’s cool that Penny Royal also has matching peace sign earrings and ring available, and they decided to also donate 30% of the proceeds of those items toward the Trevor Project so that people can get a matching set if they want and so that the Trevor Project can get more money. Smile

    I’m planning to buy at least the pendant and maybe the earrings, too. But I’ve been holding off until they got the website fixed. Looks like it’s good to go now. Smile

    Yes, I saw it! Thanks for bringing it here cwm. I was happy to see him googled so often in all those countries. And Bulgaria is one of them. Maybe it increased after that ‘the Voice’ battle.

    By the way, I never mentioned here that I loved seeing Adam do his thang at the Do Something Awards last night. He was great. He has such good comedic timing and his face is so expressive, and he really knows how to use his facial expressions to good effect. All that theater training I guess. That and the fact that he’s such a natural anyway. I also remember noticing in his BTM and E!THS episodes that he is really good at telling a story — the way he uses pauses, phrasing, timing, facial expressions, etc., he conveys a story very well. Again, I think it’s a combination of natural ability and theater training.

    Oh, and he looked great last night too. Striking actually. Loved it. Smile

    Hi cwm! Love the cricket Link! LOL I don’t know why but it’s become almost the standard that Friday nights are very quiet.

    I was on the phone with TLKC this morning. She told me that Adam is going to be featured in OUT magazine and how happy she was that fences have been mended and that it will probably coincide with the release of his single. She just mentioned this to me and then had to dash off.

    I’ve been googling and haven’t found anything about this … I hope she’s right!

    Yay for mending OUT magazine fences! That seemed like unfortunate baggage, glad Adam can throw it off now. Hope it is true.

    luval, looks like the vid was pulled for copyright violations according to some sites/posts. That is so silly and self-defeating IMO.

    luval — I think that VH1 pulled all of the DSA videos off youtube. I guess we have to watch on the VH1 site. But shhhh *whisper* if you can’t do that or you want to keep a personal copy… there are some clever Adam fans who made mp4’s of it before it got pulled that you can download. Smile

    I had totally forgotten about Brooke’s wedding! You’re right, from her tweets it looks like the wedding is this weekend. How wonderful for her! I wonder if it’s on the east coast or west coast? And of course, I wonder if Adam and Sauli are going. Smile

    And Ron — that’s wonderful to hear that there might be a feature on Adam in OUT magazine! I hope it’s true!

    For some reason I believe the tweets this time. Mark Kanemura is Mark from SYTYCD and gaga’s principle dancer. It would be great if they did some sort of a photo shoot together…even connected with Out magazine.

    Thanks for posting these tweets, luval. Interesting. Hard to say for sure. I’d say that the evidence is circumstantial at this point. Because the two tweets are in close proximity, it leads one to believe that they are related. But on the other hand, those two tweets could definitely stand on their own and be completely unrelated, if he was with Adam at a photoshoot for one thing, and is grateful to OUT magazine for something else. Hmmmm…

    Thanks for asking, nkd! Much better! For the past two weeks, I’ve mainly stayed in bed. I had to. Today, I left the apartment and took a nice walk. It was so nice to be out! (Well, I’ve been out for years but that’s another matter). Smile All is well.

    I did find a new 23 yr old Adam fan today. She was so excited when I told her I went to Canada to see him in concert. Actually, she told me I sucked!!!
    I think that I will gift her a cd. She doesn’t have one, and she said that Adam is her favorite.

    Son #1 safely ensconced, back for another year of college. I’ll need a good wig after all the hair I’ve pulled out navigating another round of financial aid B.S. And eyeball rolling. And “helping” him move. I know many of you share my pain!!

    One year until I have an empty nest.
