Later this month Adam will be warming up for the QAL European tour with a little tour of his own in Florida and Georgia. Prior to that, the finale for Starstruck airs and is already renewed for next season. Let’s hope that Adam finds time to be a judge again so we can see him on the tele each week.

Confession: I have never liked that song What’s Up. No matter who’s singing it. Shouty McShouty is all I heard in those karaoke videos.
That was no inhaler O had. Maybe trying to quit smoking. Not judging but giving him credit if he is. Europeans still seem to smoke cigarettes quite a bit.

There’s an old saying in politics that presidents are temporary but Wu-Tang is forever. Ok, maybe it’s not that old, but that doesn’t make it any less true. Judy Kurtz reports in The Hill:
The Library of Congress will soon be “Livin’ la Vida Loca,” as songs from Ricky Martin, Queen, Alicia Keys and Wu-Tang Clan are poised to be added to its famed collection.
Queen’s 1975 single “Bohemian Rhapsody,” the 2001 Keys album “Songs in A Minor” and Wu-Tang Clan’s “Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)” are among 25 recordings being preserved by the National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress, it announced Wednesday.
Adam’s pre-Idol cabaret songs are so good! I watched them countless times back in the early days. My favorites are Kiss From a Rose and Dust in the Wind. I would love to hear him sing Kiss From a Rose again but as far as I know, he hasn’t done it since before Idol. Thanks riskylady for posting the links!
Lady Luck’s Adam videos are hilarious! I laughed so hard watching her lose it during the Bowie Medley, especially when she said, “I got pregnant three times!”. I was at the Idol show in Baltimore that night. I remember having that same feeling after that show not to mention several other notable ones. If Lady Luck is losing it watching Adam videos, wait until she sees him live. I hope she attends the Atlanta show with someone who knows how to do CPR!

Just a few comments about the death of Gilbert Gottfried. He wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but he was pretty darn funny. Very raw and sometimes gross, but a funny guy.
Remember that “Dating Game” spoof that Adam was on with Gilbert? They were two of the three contestants to be chosen as Joan Rivers’ date. The third guy was a basketball player but I don’t remember his name. Joan asked them all questions. Gilbert was very crude and funny. At one point, Adam covered his face and leans forward, not believing what Gilbert was saying. Adam was VERY funny and charming. Of course, Joan chose him as her date, and he described in detail what their dream date would be.
So there’s the connection between Gilbert Gottfried and Adam and Lambert.
