In March, Adam wrapped up his Oceania tour with Queen and then enjoyed some downtime at home with Pharaoh and friends. There are rumors about a Las Vegas residency and possible US fall tour as well as Adam being involved with “Playmobil-The Movie”. Let’s hope that there is some truth there as we wait for new music – which “will be released later this year…” according to his bio on Edge Publicity and now, thanks to some persistent Glamberts, on PhilyMack, his new management.

    If the ratings are good, I’ll bet this show will be up for Emmys next year. Which will really piss me off because Adam wasn’t in it.

    Yes, Judas and Legend stretched their voices at times

    Yes, Adam would have OWNED this

    But, it’s over.

    And I think it will have excellent reviews and noms.

    The staging, audio, video, choreo, and overall production value was spot on.

    I still am not over Adam not getting Judas. (assuming they didn’t want him). Legend & Dixon’s voices were shredding and screeching as the show went on. And IMO neither had the “it” factor stage presence. Like I posted earlier, Adam’s time will come. Not sure when or how but it will happen. And ultimathule, like you said thank goodness for Queen. I’ll try moving on.

    Don’t mean to keep harping on this but Adam is still considered an outsider IMO. It’s all about who you know not what you know (or how you can sing). Legend, with the help of Weber, went right to Broadway for his cast…other than Alice Cooper, of course. He probably plays golf with “someone”! Really Angry

    We’ll never know the real reasons it didn’t happen.

    Unless he spurts it out sometime.

    I would have loved for Adam to sing a role he has said he wants to sing. But as soon as John Legend was announced as Jesus I pretty much thought it wouldn’t happen. Reasons? Legend is producer, wants the starring attention. DOES NOT want to be overshadowed or outsung by someone with Adam’s voice, stage-gobbling charisma, beauty, and pretty well-known status as Queen frontman. They/he chose a cast that would blend nicely without upstaging Legend. You just know that Adam would have stood out enormously, even though he is the kind of generous artist that would have made every effort to blend.
    But, his blending days are over because of his growing notoriety and reputation as a vocalist.
    Even before, in Ten Commandments he got the good review, lately in Rocky Horror he stood out. He literally owned his season of Idol. And now Queen. He may never conquer US radio and achieve Bieber pop status in this country, but he has a solid career and vocal reputation worldwide. I’m fine with that. Besides, he’s still young and in vocal prime…..who knows what’s ahead.
