March was the quietest month ever on ALL. After 9 years on the go, Adam is finally taking a moment to breathe. From the little studio bits that he has shared with us, it seems that Adam is just trying to get a feel for the musical direction for the next song/EP/album. Soon he will start rehearsals for the Summer of ’17 Queen+AL tour (and now Fall too). Let’s hope we get some other news before then or the only sound we will hear here will be crickets!

    That Pentatonix Bo Rhapsody was amazing, loved every second of it, especially the sprawl on the sofa, lol, they assuredly saw QAL. And prolly will again.

    Gotta say, other than QAL, this was the best cover I’ve ever seen. Not that QAL is a cover, it isn’t, as we all know, just it’s s ok incredibly difficult, and it takes talent like that to do it justice.

    There’s still questions on twitter whether the Ferdinand thing is real. I think it is. When he posted such a random song as Time For Miracles yesterday I think it was a hint that he’d have another song in a movie.

    Hi!

    I don’t think that I’m alone when I tell you that I find it very satisfying, if not thrilling, to introduce Adam to someone who is only vaguely familiar with his name and has not seen or heard him.

    Candice and I were very close friends who, for reasons we can’t explain today, lost touch with one another 20 years ago. We recently reconnected on Facebook and yesterday we had the most wonderful reunion at my place. As soon as I opened the front door, all of those 20 years melted away and we picked up where we left off and it couldn’t have been better!

    During our getting reacquainted and reminiscing and conversation, I brought up Adam, AI, Queen and the concert. Candice heard of Adam, never watched an episode of AI, was somewhat familiar with Queen songs and knew nothing about the concert.

    Well! I had to do something about that, right? Smile “Come with me Candice. Let’s go to the computer”.

    What to play for her first though?! What’s going to give her the best first impression and “knock her socks off?” Laugh

    I was sweating. ROTFL

    I first played “Who Wants To Live Forever” from the Rio de Jenero concert. While I appeared to be facing the computer screen along with her, I was side-eyeing Candice the whole time to see her (if any, I wondered) reaction(s).

    The Rio video begins with a long shot of the stage and then a medium shot of Adam but he’s in darkness. When the lights hit him, Candice: “OMG, HE’s GORGEOUS!! Sooo handsome!”.

    I thought, “We’re off to a good start”. Wink

    As the song continued, Candice was alternately wide-eyed or jaw dropped and, a couple of times, both. When it ended, “EXCELLENT! Wonderful! He’s phenomenal”.

    I then told her that Adam also has a campy side to him when he performs and she didn’t know exactly what “campy” means.

    I played her “Killer Queen”. Candice now knows what campy means. Big Smile

    She LOVED it! I followed that with the Toronto version of “Somebody To Love” where he held that note for 16 seconds and she was open mouthed. “No! No way! Did he just do that?”

    Lastly, I showed her “Another One Bites The Dust” when he ripped his pants in London back in 2012.

    After all of that, inexplicably, Candice wants to go to the Toronto concert this July.

    A new Glambert is born and I gave birth to her. Laugh If I smoked cigars, I’d have one right now. LOL.

    Well, not quite. Please know that our dear TLKC joined us later on and the four of us, Candice, TLKC, me and Gil had a wonderful dinner together, if I say so myself, because I made it myself. lol. Rigatoni Pie. Delicious.

    Ron, what a lovely story! Very satisfying, as was the Rigatoni Pie I’m sure!! Can’t wait to see y’all in July, it’s been too long!
    I have two little stories: My new gym class regularly plays a Ghost Town mix,
    And, hubby’s ENT surgeon is a Glambert and a Queen fan! I wore a TOH tour shirt to an appointment and first thing he said when he walked in the room: “Ah yes, Adam Lambert, great singer.” Then we had a chat about Adam and QAL.

    Oh, Ron, you are da Boss! I loved your story, laughing all the way through. And Riskylady, I was so upset with myself for not getting a T-shirt at the last concert (we were a little late), that I’ll at least have a lovely QAL shirt this time around. Then I’m gonna wear it everyplace.

    You guys are so inspiring! I keep feeling that Adam has actually started to be recognized, even in the US, as a truly great singer, at least among the folks who are entertainers or who are in the business.
