After crisscrossing the US for his The Original High tour, Adam wraps it up in LA before taking some time off to shoot his scenes for The Rocky Horror Picture Show TV movie. And then it’s off to Europe to continue his world tour. I’m tired just thinking about all the travel!

    I was wondering the same thing. It seems there one big family on Idol today. I would think Adam would miss out, after he sees the production and all it entails. I’m going to miss him so much tonight.
    Kelly won’t be there either. She taped something a while back.
    I wonder if Adam taped anything?
    Looking forward to seeing Elliott Yamin. He was my favorite Season 5, because of his signature voice. Elliott isn’t a pretty boy, like our Adam, but he can sing. Music Note

    Really missed Adam. It didn’t feel complete without him as he was such a larger than life contestant.
    It was a great show though although the current cast was a little left out.
    I’m glad that it was all about Idol and not the rest of the entertainment community pushing their next single.

    Yay for Trent’s win! Last night’s Chandelier was so beautiful. I would love to hear him sing a duet with Adam. They could do some serious vocal acrobatics together.

    The AI finale was fun to watch but a little sad without Adam. It just didn’t seem right. On the other hand, he got a lot more love and attention by having two performances to himself on the show last month. But really, I had to put up with a full 1-2 minutes of Gokey tonight without any Adam to compensate. Eeek! I need to go watch a YouTube of Adam singing Wicked Game to soothe my soul.

    That would have at least gotten Adam a few more seconds of screen time.

    That tidbit from the Ford commercial wasn’t enough.

    I really liked Trent. Glad he won.

    Overall, the show was entertaining. Glad to see so many Idols. Glad to see Melinda, Elliott, brandon, Joshua Ledet, and Cookie.

    Nearly choked on sight of Gokey .

    Glad to see Alison Iraheta up front and singing.

    Now, need some Wicked Game and Let’s Dance to clear my ears and fill my eyes. …

    IMO having Adam on the show last night would have taken away the thunder from the other Idols. Even a promo for RHPS.

    Also I think if there’s some sort of reboot of Idol in the future, Adam might have a part in it although I don’t think it’s such a good idea to try and recreate another show. But what do I know.

    Last day to go to work and have water cooler convos about Idol.

    Glad Trent won. LaPorsha is supremely talented, but she was pushed as winner so hard since her audition, it turned me off.

    Missing Adam. Not only on Idol, but in other stuff.

    Hoping he’s busy and happy in Toronto with work and old friends he’s working with.

    Sorry luval, I gently disagree. Adam wouldn’t have stolen anybodys thunder. They had Carrie, Daughtry, Ruben, JHud, etc. Even Clay. All the biggies, even Simon.

    I just think they could have mentioned some names of people who weren’t or couldn’t have been there.

    Especially Michael Johns.

    All in all, they had soooo many Idols there. I loved seeing Melinda Doolittle.

    Was Todrick there?

    Oh, and is it just me , or was Constantine in too many numbers? Lol.

    I know I’m rambling ( waiting for a check up in a quiet waiting room, time on my hands) , I do think the finale was very good by focusing on just Idols and not on every celeb guest starring.

    I totally agree that something should have been said about Adam not able to be there. Especially since he practically broke Idol
    after his season. It all went downhill after him. There has never been such a powerful Idol since!
    I’m sure Adam is probably bombarded with text’s. Big Smile

    I’m really feeling empty today, with no Adam news. Frown

    Also, the David Bowie tribute was not good. They could have shown a little video of Adam singing ‘Lets Dance’. :music note:

    I still enjoyed the show though, and they crammed a lot into that 2 hours & 6 min. Still thought too many performances by the judges. JLO & Harry mostly, but why Kara? She was not at all good, and she took away valuable time, that some of the Idols there could have had.

    Just watched the AI finale and I loved it………except for JLo. How is she not embarrassed to be performing such ridiculous junk? I wasn’t crazy about Carrie either. There was so much great talent there (I loved seeing Melinda finally back on the Idol stage, but I would have liked more), but so many people weren’t there, not just Adam. I missed Casey, Haley, Jax, Blake Lewis, just to mention a few. And I felt sorry for this years finalists. They usually get some spotlight (remember Adam and Queen!) but this time all they did was to bring Ryan that sign.

    That Rolling Stone review that luval posted was just scathing and cruel. http://www.rollingstone.com/tv/news/the-lonesome-death-of-american-idol-20160408?page=2 I am almost sorry that all the praise of Adam came along with the negativity.
