iHeart Red Carpet
Adam-HungerTVAdam+Stewie-AttitudeAdam+Nikki-iHeartRedCarpet

The calm after the end of QAL in February didn’t last long – thank the universe – and the roll-out to TOH appears nicely underway. We had the Sunrise/AU interview on 3/18, followed by the MiniMTV one on 3/20, the Hunger Mag major Q&A (with spectacular pics by Rankin) on 3/24, Attitude Mag’s great article (sold-out, of course), ending up with the iHeart Red Carpet appearance. But the big news, of course, was the Ghost Town snippet and the interest it engendered. April looks to be even more interesting, with the single release on the 21st – good times ahead.

Enjoy the chat!

Adam Lambert will release his new single “Ghost Town”, which was co-produced by Max Martin, this Tuesday, April 21st at 12 midnight ET. [just after 11:59 PM Monday]

Wow, a chorus line !! nice rs !

  2. Axxxel says:

@rs “Saw” the video’s.. or better said, heard the videos (no images) of Jax,Joey, Clark, Rayvon, Daniel and Quinten’s performance on MJ’s blog… The right person went home… wishing that person all the best though…

I am not a jazz person but Joey may be able to convert me…but I will always be a Glambert at heart…

  3. rs says:

Hi Axxxel, I think that whatever happens on AI, Joey will have a career. She is quirky and talented and an entertainer and needed the exposure that AI could give her. Sound familiar? Big Smile

  4. Axxxel says:

Hi rs , hehehe veeery familiar…

  5. TLKC says:

Beautiful story jlurksacto. The internet has definitely brought a lot of people together, including us. How did we all live before the internet? We have family and “3D” friends, of course, but the opportunity to reach out to people over thousands of miles is a true wonder. I can’t imagine life without the internet and this blog in particular.

  6. TLKC says:

I got “A Little Night Music” on the Broadway questionnaire.

  7. TLKC says:

Just putting the March Drum Madness link near the top of today’s thread so that we can vote “early and often” for Roger:

Aaww, I got Hello Dolly, I think the dress did it because I choose Lea, Alladin and the land of Oz…

Hi Axxxel! (and my Hello Gorgeous girl!) Wink

Just got a new 17″ monitor computer and this is a print screen of my desktop wallpaper that I put in place just last night.

  9. TLKC says:

Beautiful screensaver, Ron. Your new monitor puts me in mind of Little Red Riding Hood: “All the better to see you with, my dear.”

  10. Axxxel says:

Wow Ron thank you !! So beautiful !! all those details of the decor and the dress on my 14 inch laptopscreen !! I saw “Hello Dolly” when I was small and totally did not understand/appreciate the beauty shown in the musical… (moreover, am more auditory inclined)…

ETA: Only started to appreciate beauty after watching episodes of the “Fashion Police” and following Mr Adam Lambert’s journey…

  11. ultimathule says:

That was a great story, jlurks – sent it out to family.

And off with family now – seeya coupla days –

  12. HK fan says:

I have just finished reading that Brother Orange story jlurks..thanks for that, thoroughly enjoyed it…Meizhou is in the Guangdong province which is pretty near to HK (relatively)…I thought it must be when the article mentioned the Hakka people. Loved the way it was written too.

  13. HK fan says:

Haven’t watched this weeks Idol yet (although know the result) been on a posh boat all day….was Joey better tonight, I have really enjoyed some of her performances, but she was the worst of all of them last week, even worse than Qaasim…..Quentins great though, and Jax has lots of potential to make it…

  14. luval says:

Joey was much better last night (jazzy) but I still think she’s trying too hard and thinking too much when she sings. To me it doesn’t come easy to her. IMO.

  15. rs says:

HK fan, Joey was back to herself tonight, and even talked about last week’s bad performance with Kelly. She gave a very jazzy performance. My theory about the audience save is this: The producers saw that Daniel was still there and weren’t happy about it. Since he was next to the bottom they conjured up the new twist, knowing that he had laryngitis and hoping that he would be so bad that they couldn’t help but vote him off. And the “one vote per phone” kept the tweenies from power voting, which they might have done (plus a pity vote) if he had stayed one more week. Thank goodness. He didn’t really belong there.

  16. nkd says:

    I got My Fair Lady.

I was glad to see Daniel go.
I thought the best performances last night were from Clark, Rayvon and Jax.

  17. luval says:

I got A Little Night Music. Not familiar with this at all. I liked that new twitter twist on Idol was sooooo nerve wracking. Thank goodness Daniel is out. My fav is Quinten followed by Jax

  18. Miss Chaos says:

My favorite is Quentin too, I voted for him for the first time voting since Adam, ( I know)..Quentin doesnt have the best technical voice, which could be helped with training (ADAM), but what a star, and presence on that screen, and not to mention his outfits, lol!! He is such a cutie! He probably wont win, and that almost screamer Clark will, but who cares, Scott is stuck with him to make him a star. Speaking of Scott, he loves Adam, and I predict that Adam will be performing his new single on the show when it comes out. Kelly’s voice sounded a little off to me, but everyone loves her so whatever. Waiting on more news of Ghost Town. Or is it GhostTown???

  19. Cait1602 says:

Long weekend ahead. Four days off from work.

I hope everyone is feeling good/better as well – ska, cher, cwm still thinking about you and hope you guys are doing ok.

Going down the rabit hole again. Interview-time Smile After reading the Attitude Mag I am going to seek out some more interviews on YT and other written ones. Time to learn more…

  20. skaschep says:

Thanks for your support cait! Have fun with the interviews. I can’t get enough from those either. Love how good he can express himself. And also love to hear his speaking voice as well.

I’m currently watching The Passion here on tv. It’s the story of Jesus last moments but then in a modern fashion with a lot of Dutch music. Although I’m raised Catholic I’m not that into religion anymore, but this show is very beautiful and connects people.

This year we have a Dark colored Maria. Last year we had a gay Judas. Doesn’t matter if the performers are Christians either. During the show a big cross is carried through the city in which the show is performed and a lot of people are walking together with that cross. Muslims, Christians and all ethnicities we have here in the Netherlands. A great way of showing how it can be done. Last year 3,2 million people watched the show on television.

  21. LadyNorth says:

    jlurk,

thank you for that fun and lovely Orange guy -story! What a beautiful friendship it became. I hope Orange Guy gets his chance to visit Matt in US Smile

skaschep, it is so true what you say about Adam in interviews and his speaking voice. I watched a ton of those when I found him. Wishing you quick recovery with goodies! If you have a tablet or can borrow one, it’s much lighter to keep on your lap than lap top. I have used tablet most of the time since I got it.

Happy Easter time / time off everyone!

  22. rs says:

Hi skaschep, I hope that you are out of pain and on the mend. Adam stuff is great for taking you mind off of unpleasant things. Just ask anyone of us here…

Your description on The Passion reminded me of the first Nikos Kazantzakis book I ever read many many years ago. It was called The Greek Passion and it was about
people in a Greek village who were chosen to play the various main roles in the Passion Play the following year and how those roles affected their lives during that year. Really excellent book and not one of his better known ones. He is the Nobel Prize winning author of Zorba the Greek. His were the type of books you could dive into and barely come up for air.

  24. skaschep says:

Thanks Ladynorth and rs for your kind words. Sadly I had a little setback Today with the pain. The wound on the back of my knee was bothering me still and also didn’t want to close up. So my mother took me to the doctor to let it be checked out. It became obvious there that in the hospital they didn’t sow me up very well. The doctor had to remove my stiches and also had to remove some flesh which was quite dead. After that he stitched things up again. That is giving me quite some pain now, but I hope it will be better tomorrow.

I’ve just watched the NYE concert again to get my mind of it some. That worked at least for the duration of the show. Now trying to get some sleep.

    Goodnight everyone!

  26. TLKC says:

OMG skaschep! That sounds very serious. I hope they are monitoring you closely and that this is the end of the problem. Good grief!

    Please take care.

Any ideas about who should be in it?

    Me.

Just my opinion, of course. ROTFL

  28. Ron says:

Sorta serious question: do any of you ladies have experience with Osteoporosis?

I was recently diagnosed with severe (it couldn’t be “regular” Osteoporosis, right?) and I am sitting here with a wedged, compressed fracture of my spine and a BIG pillow behind my back.

    It’ll heal, I guess, but I don’t know. Question

My appointment at the Osteoporosis Clinic isn’t until April 27th so I don’t know what to expect.

I guess my days of doing backflips when Adam sings are over. Smile

  29. turquoisewaters says:

skaschep: This sounds truly awful. I am very sorry. I hope the doctors are too!

  30. turquoisewaters says:

Ron: I am sorry to hear. Osteoporosis is super common. It is something I almost certainly already have or will have, no matter how much milk I drink. Tall and skinny and over 29 seems to set you up, plus my mom has it. Maybe we should all hit the gym like Adam and lift some weights. (But the gym has not seen me in years and my weightlifting is restricted to lifting my coffee mug.) Take care of yourself, and don’t let it get you down.

  31. HK fan says:

The only problem with that theory rs, is that the twitter save was announced before they knew Daniel was in the bottom 2….at least for this week, it could have been 2 others. I don’t like the idea of the twitter save,..the bottom one should be the bottom one. How how does a live save in a country with so many different time zones…surely everyone on the west coast won’t be able to vote?
Only saw Kellys 2nd song last night, she was obviously having trouble with her monitors….but what was with that dress she was wearing…

sorry to hear of your back problems Ron, sounds awful…don’t know anything about osteoporosis though…
and ska, that sounds terrible too, I hope they keep a close eye on you.

  33. luval says:

HK fan Anyone can vote from any time zone. Here are a couple of quotes from mj’s explaining.

“I’m on the West coast and I watched the live stream of Daniel and Rayvon singing for the save at americanidol.com. I then voted on twitter with the rest of the country.”

“West Coasters could vote, the save song was live streamed for that reason. However, I suspect that most West Coast Daniel fans had no idea that Daniel was in danger, so were not watching.
What further imperiled Daniel was the fact that ,due to the voting campaigns waged by his fans, a large part of his votes come from people who never hear him sing, but just vote for him because their Facebook or twitter friends have asked.
There was no time for that this week.”

Interesting. I like the twitter save. One one vote per twitter account so no power voting.

    LOLOL.

Bowie was full frontal in it.

    Fulllll

    Fronnnnnntalll

The thought of it Adam in it is giving me a near seizure.

On another note, it’s a horrible original film, nearly unwatchable, just so strange and …weird. IMHO.

I’m all Quentin and Jax on Idol. Love them both, almost more than anyone since season 8. They both were fantastic last night.

  37. nkd says:

Jax and Quentin are my favorites too. Quentin is just so cool! I don’t think his performance last night was his best. It wasn’t bad by any means but was forgettable, at least for me.

  38. luval says:

Quentin & Jax for me too!!

  39. Miss Chaos says:

Ron, through a MRI last month I have been diagnosed with severe degenerative joint disease in my back spine. It hurts so damn bad, I get a severe pain and scream in pain, happened yesterday in WalMart, and someone had to bring me one of those damn carts so I could get to my vehicle. I am going to Physical Therapy, but doesnt seem to help. They want to inject my spine, for pain, but I am holding off, because of the huge Hiatal Hernia they found on the MRI. You know how bad this sucks because I do agility with my dog, running. Crap, age!

I love Quentin too, said this a few posts back, Jax, well not so much, but like Joey, cant relate this to ADAM, lol!

  40. Miss Chaos says:

One more thing off topic, sorry, but Ron, please go to the Facebook Turmeric Users Group. I started taking the turmeric paste a month ago, and praying it helps my back. It really is helping my dogs. There is a lot of information on there, the people there are amazing, it maybe something that in a while may help your back problem too. OK, back to our regular scheduled program, which is ADAM, and waiting on his amazing Ghost Town! Please, radio play it, because it seems the only thing that makes or breaks a single.

  41. Ron says:

    Dear Miss Chaos Hug Right

I’m very sorry to know that you’re experiencing the same kind of situation that I’m going through.

That’s what A.L.L. is about … we’re ALL here for one another … and I thank you very much for your comments that I will take very much to heart.

To your good health and best wishes, dear lady. Rose
