With the great news in March, April will be a time to settle in and prepare for the Queen + Adam Lambert tour ahead. We still have one more episode of Glee on April 1st and that will be it for Adam on Season 5. Now it’s back to making new music in Sweden and rehearsing classic Queen songs most likely in England. Lots of work to do before they hit the stage in Chicago on June 19th!

    I never heard of that glam classroom thing.

    So I saw on twitter that LMD is not the next single. Anyone else see this? I think it’s a mistake if it’s not released for this summer. It’s time might be gone. But who am I?

    Love that “The Prayer” video … luval.
    I’ve seen it a while back. Can’t remember if they won that season or not. But Jonathan Antoine became popular later and he has been singing with many singers of this genre.

    I remember Adam talking about singing “Is Anybody Listening” on the Chabad telethon…that he did it partly to get the word out and advertise The Ten Commandments play. But it turns out the people at The Ten Commandments did nothing to support him and could have cared less. Adam wasn’t very happy. Wish I could find that video or print interview.

    I don’t think LMD is the best fit for the US either…..Wake me up and Hey Bother were both so popular because of the folk/country tones to them, not because of the EDM part.

    I actually quite like that Lily Allen song, not as much as some of her others, but there’s something about her stuff that I like. It will be added to the list of her songs I won’t let my daughter listen to , like Its not fair!!

    HK, I live 90 miles north of Chicago. The climate is virtually identical. Sometimes Chicago is a few degrees warmer or colder. This year was ridiculously cold for a ridiculously long time. But, it was the same in many parts of the country.

    It’s cool starting in late October through December, gets cold until March, and usually warms up starting in April. This year it is still cold here, although it was very warm last weekend.

    I like to visit Chicago, and do so several times a year, however, I could never live there. Too much. Too many cars, too many people, …just too much. For me.

    I love the pace of my big city. It is the largest in our state, and is considered way too big and crowded by those who live in truly small towns. It’s all perspective.

    Why do you ask? Considering a move?

    Our mlg lives there, along with several lurkers and infrequent posters here.

    Hi Mils, thanks for the answer….
    No I’m not moving, but my son is trying to get a football scholarship to the States, and Chicago is one he’s been offered so far….but he says definitely not, way too cold for playing football. The others at the moment are in Georgia. But some of the reasons you mention I think are good reason for him to choose Chicago, the busyness, the amount of people, the too muchness….He’s spent nearly all his life in HK, I think Georgia might be too much of a culture shock!!!

    Hi kiwi. It wasn’t the video I was looking for but some kind of interview where Adam talks about how frustrating it was for him trying to promote the Ten Commandments by even singing it on the Chabad telethon. But all he got was criticism from the producers on the nail polish he would wear at rehearsals.

    I actually found something referring to this in part 2 of the LA Times interview from 2009. If you haven’t read this whole interview it’s great. When I get home from work I might post it here. It’s impossible for me to do it on my iPhone!!

    Hey sparkle! Missed your LOL. Adam had said he was interested in getting a sleeve but he has tattoos on both arms now, so who knows? Once he showed us the “music soothes” tattoo, I figured all bets were off. Most people never get beyond one or two “motif” thingys. If you get to three, you are on the road to making a wonderland of your body. (Adam already has that going on so why bother? Laugh )

    I love and live in the Chicago area and though the weather is daunting at first you get used to it. You’ll have to remind your son that most colleges have indoor practice fields and schedule the first part of their seasons playing teams in warm weather states. There are many great schools in the Chicago area that offer great educations in many different areas of study and maybe could be a consideration also.
