With the great news in March, April will be a time to settle in and prepare for the Queen + Adam Lambert tour ahead. We still have one more episode of Glee on April 1st and that will be it for Adam on Season 5. Now it’s back to making new music in Sweden and rehearsing classic Queen songs most likely in England. Lots of work to do before they hit the stage in Chicago on June 19th!

    I had some friends that went to summersonic in 2012, (they didn’t go and see Adam though…more fools them!) They said it was a great really well, organised festival, although I wouldn’t expect anything else from the Japanese..

    Good question, HK fan. I guess they edited out that part. Something seemed odd when Blaine was yelling at Elliott using the words “guy liner ” when there was no guy liner in this episode. I thought he might be referring to Starchild’s look but probably Kurt and Elliott went out to a club and this scene was omitted. I was looking forward to them all decked out!

    Looks as though Elliott is a slow fade with no explanation, which is how Glee often does it. That means he can come back. As long as the door is not closed, I am happy.

    I loved the end of last night’s episode, with Rachel singing “People” in her best Barbra Streisand voice to a montage of the Gleeks on their way to a ritual weekly dinner. It could have been a perfect end to the series, actually.

    My housemate has hilariously fallen in love with the show since I started watching it. When Elliott told Blaine that he thought they were to young to be engaged she leaped forward and yelled “YES!” I’m giving to the show a pass until Elliott returns but she is totally hooked.

    Not enough Adam last night but I liked the shift to wise guru. Such a character could be needed next year Wink

    BTW, does anyone go to adamofficial.com any more? I left in frustration when the links stopped working. Checked them out yesterday and was glad to see the links up and running again. They lost a lot of people when they went down. Alfann has been a valiant supporter of that site. The archives are a treasure. Does anyone know her?

    It’s probably best to leave well enough alone but I tried to improve on the quality of the excellent photo choice turquoisewaters requested for this month’s chat thread.

    Maybe it’s my computer screen but it looks a little dark and his skin looks a bit mottled from pixelation so I came up with this instead:

    Can Brian May write anything less than beautiful, moving songs?
    If they let Rodgers sing Teo Torriatte, then they can let Adam too. It will be stunning, and he is so loved in Japan also, from the get-go. They must be over the moon to have Q + AL coming, it’s a double whammy!
    I think he like Queen has a special connection with his Asian fans. They were privileged to get Stay/Underneath live.

    TLKCI had never heard this song. It is so beautiful and so, so Adam.

    It really could be a major Adam moment. Maybe start with Freddie and then have Adam take over. Then Adam could have BoRap by himself.

    If you go to @bani_ ‘s twitter feed, she has lots of information about the Japanese SummerSonic concerts, talking about prices, platinum tickets and the excitement. Some of it is in Japanese of course except when she’s talking to US peeps. She has a picture of the platinum seating area from last year’s SummerSonic and says that her friends are more than willing to pay $600 and up for those seats. Says Japanese are monster Queen fans and of course rabid Adam Lambert fans so two for one is more than worth it. ITA!! Smile

    I showed my doctor friend at work the picture from up top and he says “damn that’s a good looking man”. He always jokes with me about my obsession(?). This was the first time he ever acknowledged his looks. But I don’t think he’s really ever heard him sing! Can’t send him youtubes because, well, he’s married with children. That would be unacceptable!

    Just checked the line-up for SummerSonic in Japan. It seems that “A Great Big World” will appear earlier in the day on the same stage as Q+A who close the show.
