Adam has apparently wrapped up his US radio promo tour, at least for the moment, as April begins. Above we see Adam as he spent the last several weeks – hard at work with promo. This is (hopefully) finally the last month – for real – before Adam’s new “Trespassing” album will be released. The album is scheduled to drop on May 15. Will we get a second single ahead of the album release date? Will Adam perform on American Idol sometime in the next several weeks? We’ll know soon – in the meantime enjoy the chat!

Why, oh why, did the suits not pick Naked Love? I can’t get that out of my head, such an earworm, and it is ~~so easy to~~ impossible not to sing along the “ooo, oooh, ooh” in the car!
Okay, off to buy another few copies. Doing my part! (Ron, what is my quota again? sheesh…I need a second job!)

Catching up again; that’s what it’s been like lately…always playing catch-up. Sorry to hear about your MIL, cwm. Sounds like things are coming along fine at this time. She’s lucky to have her family around to rally and you are a great example of what good daughters-in- law are!
Unlike some, I missed the last copy of Instinct at my Barnes and Noble. Will try Books-a-Million later today or buy online.

Still working on WB and Washington, DC possible trip. Sounds like I’ll have to eat at McDonald’s in WB. Not only is the Best Western hotel sold out;it sounds as if the restaurant is full up too! We’ll see!

Just saw that NCOE has jumped 20 spots in the past week to #50 on the Mediabase Hot AC airplay chart. It has a large +103 spin gain during the past week, so it should keep climbing. That spin increase is especially good considering that its based on only 8 stations so far, so that means that early adopters are quickly moving the song into a heavier rotation. 28 of the 92 monitored Hot AC stations have reported their adds so far today, and NCOE has picked up 2 (for a total of 7 in the format so far), WIAD Washington DC and WTIC Hartford. Now that the song is in the top 50, daily updates will be available from Mediabase, and I’ll post frequent updates on the Trespassing sales/airplay info page:

Lil, I gather that you are unable to make firm plans right away but things are firming up fast and options closing. I still haven’t heard back as to whether I can add four to our table of ten for WB dinner…I am so sorry that the Best Western is out of rooms! But at least you could join us for drinks before the peeps who have a M&G leave for that. And of course there is Adam! regardless of other peeps, and seeing him so soon after the album drops will be very exciting.

Re DC: the Gaylord has about a billion rooms but you might want to go ahead and make a reservation – you can cancel without penalty up to May 17.

I hope that things work out for you!

Adam has so much going on during the month of May. I have to admit that this appearance, IMO, is the most “special”.
Only 15 more days until Trespassing and 17 more days until Idol, but who’s counting?!?!?!

I am loving the magnitude in which FRESH 94.7 is all out supporting Adam. They are amazing!! This is the radio station that the Fab Four visited in DC. This is also the same station that has Adam headlining their FRESHTIVAL on May 27.

Seems like she was at a call back at PrettyBird which happens to be a “creative think tank providing clients w/ distinct & visionary work across the ever-evolving entertainment & branding landscape.” They’ve done music videos for Beyonce, Rihanna, J-Lo, JT and N.E.R.D and maybe now Adam!?

Randy? You remembered Adam was on Idol, after declaring Joshua is the best singer evah! on the show!!! HeHe

There are 2 people on MJs complaining about him getting special treatment. The usuals are taking care of them. But for me for you, Adam should get special treatment. We all know he is special, the most special singer on Idol, Right? No they know they have a gem, so bragging rights from Idol about Adam should be a given. There are no stars this year, and they only got a star from Scotty last year because he is country. I dont know what they will do with this years winner, because they are gonna sell nothin!

Lets see what else I got, so happy (jealous) of all you guys going to the shows coming up and of course the Queen concerts. Those are ones I am excited about after reading about what they plan for those shows.

Can I say again how excited I am with Adam being on Idol, 2 days after his Album drops? This will really help sales, question, how does a preorder help first day sales? I preordered from Barnes and Noble.

Hi Miss Chaos…I always wonder about the pre-orders and if they are REALLY counted in first days/week sales. I did pre-order but I am going to pick up the cd as well in person. Somewhere in the March chat thread someone posted where NOT to purchase Trespassing…no sound scan. Will have to dig that up as May 15th approaches.

On mj’s thread some people are asking “how will Adam outdo his WWFM Idol song?”. Guess they want some super duper out of this world production. I’ll bet it will be exactly like on Kimmel. Fine with me.

not sure if I actually commented on Adams Kimmel performances…..well. needless to say I loved them. He looked great, so beautiful, and happy. His eyes at the beginning of NCOE, when he first opened them…..
I wasn’t really sure about Broken English, was having trouble getting through it, although I think thats mainly due to the fact that there hasn’t been a very good video copy. But I watched it again last night, and I can really begin to see how good it will be. I wish there was Kimmel video of all of them, they are just so much clearer and the audio so much better.

Really looking forward to watching Adam on Idol, I’m glad we get the chance to see it several times, because the first time its aired I will probably be too nervous to enjoy it properly. I hope he gets a good bump on itunes…otherwise we will never hear the end of it on MJ’s..

I also have a confession to make…..I haven’t brought either single, or preordered the album yet Not beacuse I don’t want to. Just haven’t worked out Itunes. I know we can’t order from US or UK itunes, or any of the others, And I’m not sure if there is HK itunes, or if there is how to go around ordering from it. I did ask my 17yo but he doesn’t know, has never used it either.
The good news is that HMV in HK normally gets the physical cds the same day as they are released in the US, so I will rush up there and get a couple, bad news is, I’m not sure if they would then be included in the US opening weeks numbers. still I suppose sales is sales no matter where they’re from.
