Adam has apparently wrapped up his US radio promo tour, at least for the moment, as April begins. Above we see Adam as he spent the last several weeks – hard at work with promo. This is (hopefully) finally the last month – for real – before Adam’s new “Trespassing” album will be released. The album is scheduled to drop on May 15. Will we get a second single ahead of the album release date? Will Adam perform on American Idol sometime in the next several weeks? We’ll know soon – in the meantime enjoy the chat!

    Sounds similar to the Toronto Wham Bam all day festival with Adam closing at 9:00pm. We didn’t have fireworks, though. Smile

    Do we know the audience capacity at this venue?

    I think it’s a safe bet that you’ll have others from this blog joining you. You’re going to have a great time!

    I am flailing here After WB I am driving to DC to babysit my grandchildren so my daughter and SIL can go to NY for the rest of the weekend. I wonder if the grandkids want to go to a concert? LOL JK sort of!

    I’m probably in the tiny minority here, but the backup singers are a distraction/turn-off for me. Not their presence, but having someone else’s voice (so different from Adam’s voice) is startling

    Further thoughts on this: I’m pretty sure I will come to like the backup singers after some time. Adam usually knows what he is doing creatively so he certainly didn’t have to have my approval. LOL Heck, I was originally resistant to the dancers too but came to LOVE having them there.

    GUESS WHAT??!!! I THINK I CAN GO TO THIS SHOW!!! SO EXCITED!!

    Being over here on the upper left coast, I had wondered about whether I would be able to see Adam sing his new material live anytime soon. All those radio shows are so far away on the east coast and their timing has not coincided with my work trip to DC at the end of May. What, work trip to DC at the end of May, you say? Why, that just might coincide with a radio show in DC at the end of May!!

    I have to be in DC on May 29-June 1 for a conference, so a radio show in DC on the 27th means I just need to go a couple of days early, and voila!

    So where is the Gaylord Hotel in relation to the Capitol building/National Mall area (which is where I’ll be for the conference)?

    And who else is going to the DC show that I will get a chance to meet?? EEEEEEEPPP!!!

    Oh my….Just got home from work & looked at the vids. When Adam has his eyes closed at the beginning of NCOE, then opens them as if out from a trance I am floored. And the tongue action in most of his songs. WoW.

    My drummer friend told me he’s buying Trespassing. Never in a bazillion years did I think he would do this. He’s in a very established band here & in the beginning his thoughts on Adam were “not for me”. The EMA video turned him around 180 degrees. He mentioned he liked NCOE as acoustic a bit better but I had to explain that it’s a dance song & never was intended to be him with a guitar player unplugged. But Adam can sing any of his dance tunes unplugged.

    I THINK TRESPASSING IS GOING TO BE HUGE. (this coming from Debbie Downer)..Smile

    cwm I live about 1/2 hour from the Gaylord (ten minutes from the Beltway which takes you directly to the Gaylord). The Gaylord is about 45 minutes from the center of D.C., down by the Woodrow Wilson Bridge that goes to Virginia. Just sent the concert info to my big family – probably some of them will want to go. Be happy to meet up with you or do anything that could facilitate your going.

    I sent my daughter the info today and asked her if she thought the kids would want to go to a concert, with a big LOL. She said pack the kids up in a stroller and go. She supports my Adam obsession. Big Smile

    She said the place is really easy to get to and there is Ketchup(restaurant) and a Ben & Jerry’s right there, that the granddaughter would get into. Plus she loves to dance.

    This Adam radio appearance is going to be a little trickier for me to maneuver than the last one. My husband and I actually have important plans for that day — a birthday/graduation celebration for my niece who lives in McLean, VA. However, there is no way that I will allow Adam Lambert to perform approximately 30 minutes away from my home and not be there!! The time factor will be a big issue here for me. If necessary, I may end up just taking my hubby with me straight from McLean (or his taking me) to the National Harbor in time for us to catch Adam’s show together. If we are done early enough, I can go separately. No matter what, I WILL BE THERE!!!

    Asifclueless: Just watched the BE link you posted and am dying. Oh, wooooowwwwwww, is that something, both audibly and visually stunning. I played this song (another clip) this morning for my non-fan (but not anti-Adam) husband, and he actually exclaimed that it was “incredible.” This song is rising to the top for me — this and “Shady.” Both songs are artistic statements and really, IMO, above and beyond ANYTHING else out there on the radio today.

    Broken English, to me, is the kind of music I love from Adam where he uses his voice and emotion to draw you in and than just leaves you there going what the heck was that! I remember “If I Can’t Have You” and “Mad World” and the feelings he sucked out of everyone, pardon my french. This is what makes the greatest performers as Elvis and Bowie etc.
    Adam is in a league higher than anyone out there now—–and I’m sticking to it!!!!! Grin
