Adam has apparently wrapped up his US radio promo tour, at least for the moment, as April begins. Above we see Adam as he spent the last several weeks – hard at work with promo. This is (hopefully) finally the last month – for real – before Adam’s new “Trespassing” album will be released. The album is scheduled to drop on May 15. Will we get a second single ahead of the album release date? Will Adam perform on American Idol sometime in the next several weeks? We’ll know soon – in the meantime enjoy the chat!

    Just realized – four weeks from today (Friday here on the East Coast of the US) will be the Wilkes-Barre concert! That will also mark our first live concert thread since Sainte Agathe last July! I’m thinking that most of our comments will probably be focused in the Wilkes-Barre thread for the rest of May after the concert, then we can switch back to our usual mode when the June monthly chat thread is posted. Of course, when the next tour is underway (hopefully this fall!), there probably won’t be a need for monthly chat threads as we will likely jump from one concert thread to the next as we did on MJs during Glam Nation.

    For those who are wondering why some Adam events are posted in the Upcoming Shows list and others are not, my criteria is whether Adam is billed as the featured act (or part of the featured act in the case of Queen), and that reliable date/venue information is posted online. I’m not aware of any radio concerts other than Wilkes-Barre where Adam is the headliner (if anyone knows of one please post it here). I know there are rumors of Kiev and Poland shows, but I haven’t seen solid info posted online for those (again if you find such info please post it here).

    And yep – I finally got an avatar! Since I almost always fly on Delta, I wanted to use the old Delta “widget” which is one of the coolest airline logos ever IMO.

    My first listen to most of these tracks. Really like Broken English – has a similar vibe to Broken Open which was one of my faves from FYE. Not really feeling Trespassing after a couple of listens. Like Naked Love. And was a huge NCOE fan from the start. Haven’t seen a Cuckoo vid yet – I’m sure one will emerge shortly.
    Cuckoo vid just got posted – added to the Kimmel post. The crazy train is ready to roll…

    Thanks again to asif and nkd for the links, I’m sorting through these and ones coming across twitter and trying to put the best version of each song on the Kimmel post. Usually we get progressively better versions for a few days after each event, I’ll keep updating the post as they come out.

    OMG this song is so awesome! And his performance of it is beyond amazing.

    Really like Broken English – has a similar vibe to Broken Open which was one of my faves from FYE.

    eywflyer – I get what you’re saying, especially with the atmospheric production on both, but I find Broken English to be much more akin to Ring of Fire, with its extremely sexy, sultry vibe and outrageous vocal leaps. I find Broken Open to be much more intimate and tender and less sexy/sultry.

    Having so much fun watching all of these vids. Wow, what a great show. Adam must have been thrilled to be able to perform 5 new songs – plugged in – to a large crowd of fans. And the fans were obviously beyond thrilled.

    One of the best parts – that must be so gratifying to him – is that the album hasn’t even been released yet and everybody still knew all the words and were singing along. LOL

    Interesting tweets re Eber and Leila. Obviously they are very different people – which is probably why Adam can be such a mix of contradictions sometimes.

    So here I am…3 hrs of sleep but no regrets. Tried to get to sleep after the livestream but couldn’t. Am glad I watched even though I have it DVR’d.

    Although kimmel’s camera shots were good IMO the livestream from the audience made it feel so exciting with the crowd singing and fists pumping. That vibe wasn’t there on the show video.

    Off to work. Omg will I make it until 2:30pm lol!

    I got in bed last night with Jimmy Kimmel on. Lasted through Emily Blunt and fell asleep. I woke up just as Adam began NCOE. I was still half asleep but I remember it almost like a dream. Have some RL things to take care of – then going to watch Kimmel on the 60″ screen and then the other songs here. Looks like the Adam Lambert Era has begun!!! So happy for bb!!!

    Confession time: I’m falling in love with Brian London. In Love He is my favorite music director/keyboard player of all time. Pleeeeez Adam, can we keep him? He’s so darn good (I mean, he can play keyboards with sunglasses on at night – how cool is that??) and he reminds me of Lenny Kravitz, who is *almost* as sexy as our Mr. Wonderful.

    Still lovin’ all these performances from last night – I find myself smiling every time I watch Naked Love. That song has to be a single somewhere on this planet for the summer!

    OMG everything worth seeing is blocked on this stupid school computer!!!!! But from the little of what I was able to sneak into, those pants actually should probably be blocked here lol

    can.not.wait to see the performance and now I am counting the MINUTES to Wilkes Barre! Was able to access Naked Love (oddly enough) but nothing else. Adam looked young and gorgeous – the combination of Sauli and juicing is working absolute magic!
    LOVE the musical team!
    Don’t hate, but I honestly hope that there aren’t any dancers this time. I think he needed them for GN – they were filler, to a certain extent, to a short set. But I watched this one performance and tried to picture dancers…the stage is full, the backup singers round out the stage – and dancers added to the mix could be a little bit too much three-ring-circus. Just thinking out loud here.

    Re a DC concert – I found that page, too, dcglam, before it mysteriously disappeared. Likely it isn’t ready for announcement and someone jumped the gun. Fab 4 reunion, anyone? (Ultimathule, the Gaylord National is in PG county)

    Okay, back to work. gonna be a long day, knowing that those vids are waiting for me!

    I’m probably in the tiny minority here, but the backup singers are a distraction/turn-off for me. Not their presence, but having someone else’s voice (so different from Adam’s voice) is startling. I know other band members have helped out with this in the past, but their voices were not front-and-center.

    I loved the dancers and was hoping for them again; but so far, the material doesn’t fit with dancers.

    I was too tired after last night’s show to post, but I KNEW the live performances would be so much better than those electronically-distorted snippets! Naked Love is out of this world beautiful!!! But I love all of the songs. I’m on team no dancers.

    I just spent part of my lunch break making a phone call to the 94.7 radio station. The guy I spoke with was very nice (as are all the other radio people over there). He assured me that the National Harbor Festival on May 27 is indeed happening, and that Adam Lambert is scheduled to headline the concert event. Evidently, there seems to be a lot going on that day — fireworks and all. The concert part of the festival will run from 3-9. Ticket information should be coming out within the next week. I had to chuckle when he mentioned that they would be running a contest for chances to win tickets. Ummm, no thank you — I’ll gladly buy this time around!! LOL It seems that there will be different ticket packages — one option being if you want to hook up a stay at the Gaylord Hotel. That’s all the info I could get for now.

    Lost in the Adam world this morning, but now here I go—–

    I have a new found love for Naked Love. What was he doing in the middle, a minnie rapping? So cute. But the ending WTF was that?? IDK, he kinda got lost at the end? So funny.

    My first love on first listen of the snippets was Chokehold, and still is but my second love, and moving up to first is Broken English, I loved it on first listen, and the whole thing was giving me goosies for real, not the fake JLO goosies.

    Cuckoo was a great way to end the show, and I now realized this is the first time we have heard all of these all the way thru, well at least me for you. lol.

    I too love the keyboard play, please keep him Adam, K?

    I liked NCOE enough, but as well known around here sorry its the second single. With all the Explicit songs out there he needed the sexy over the top vocals and lyrics that some of these other songs have. Well not maybe here in the stuffy US, but my god Overseas, he can kill some of these songs with the sex moves and lyrics. We all know some of the crap women singers get away with. And their not sexy like our Adam is!

    Well I went over to MJs to read the thoughts on his Jimmy appearance, and of course got pissed off at some of the comments that were made and MJ lets them go. If people hate hearing him sing, why the hell do they bother listening to him, or reading his threads. The best remark was his “Thin tinny voice” or something like that. Listening to Daughtry on Kelly right now, Now there’s a voice!!!!!!!

    Anyhow the show was great last nite, he is such a performer.

    BJ song album clips are up at MJs, maybe when I have nothing else to do in my life I will listen to them, I could never bring myself to comment on them, just not worth the effort. I wanted to post in Adams thread, but after reading some of the comments that pissed me off, I just slithered back out and came home!

Honestly, I’m getting pretty nervous. It hasn’t shown up on my credit card yet. Fingers crossed that I didn’t buy 100 copies or something…
