Just watched those videos from LA, sooo good, I really love NCOE, its now my favourite……at the moment! i wish Isaac had gone along with all the promo tour, the songs sound better with him.
I haven’t listened to NCOE yet, does it need an mp3?

Adam essentially confirmed that the single choice is between NCOE and a song he did not perform yesterday. That mean it is not Trespassing. My money is on the choice is between NCOE and Cuckoo — and RCA will select NCOE.

Great Trespassing. My fav is still the one in Seattle at Amazon – applause at end loudly enthusiastic. Marvelous interview before where he spoke of the Rolling Stone pic where the snake handler said to move the snake “closer to his balls.” Adam can be VERY funny.
Should I stay awake to see BJ’s video being released at 3:00 a.m.? Maybe I’ll like it – all about bullying.

Many thanks to all for support and best wishes for my mother. This will be serious and long and hard. Nothing that we can’t handle after dealing with the past two and a half years.
Mils, just remember that you have developed skils as an Adam stan. Maybe they will be put to use as you transition into your new career. Like many other posters, I believe that doors open when others close, and that you have to keep an eye out for the glimmers of light that show a door is opening.
I have three totally different major careers behind me, each one because something happened with its precedent. And since we are all going to live to be a hundred (no matter whethe we want to or not), I will probably have another before I finally retire.
I would suggest looking into hiring a job coach, one of those peeps who help you work through what it is that you really want to do, and how to get there. This could be a great opportunity to choose that new career that will make it possible for you to maintain enthusiasm for work during this next period of your life.
And, of course (as others have said) be sure that the new gig won’t inhibit your stanning.

Texas – lived in West Texas for a few years – Midland/Odessa – long-gone Webb AFB – we had one dust storm that covered the inside of the house with red grit – nothing could keep it out. The dark cloud looming over the area was on the front page of the newspapers. When the storms came in that area, the place was scary as hell. End of the world scenario.

Mils – Kradamour’s right – you never know what lies before you. One of my daughters worked for the head of most of the New York theaters and, when he died, those who took his place didn’t want the reminders, so she was terminated. Because of her theater experience, she found a great job – better then the one she had. Yes, one door closes and another opens. Many in my family have had similar experiences. The only problem is that in today’s economy jobs are scarcer and employers less willing to hire. But don’t get discouraged – there are, with today’s technology, many ways to look for jobs. An excellent online resume is a necessity now for many employers. And it would probably be helpful to connect with someone with expertise in online job-hunting. All the best to you.

This will be a hard time, I do believe that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, however, those damn bills need to be payed. And, unfortunately, my Adam “slush fund” will take a hit. I saw some footage from Texas tonight on the news, saw those 18 wheelers being tossed around like flapjacks. So scary. Hope our Texas is OK.

Those videos from LA were unbelievably fantastic. Adam sounded amazing, and Isaac’s drumming added a wonderful element that had been missing. Trespassing was out of this world.

I can’t keep all these performances straight any more. Maybe we need to come up with a list of the top 3 performances of each one of the new songs (with links of course). I still have fond memories of the London Trespassing because he was so animated. I also love the very first acoustic NCOE performance. Have to listen to these newest ones a couple more times before I decide. I am only human: the visual definitely skews my choices.

Texas I am sitting here watching TWC and the videos from tornadoes yesterday, I am so glad you and yours are well. There is a lot of damage but they are saying thankfully no deaths. I can’t believe those trailers being tossed around.
It was the same here a couple of weeks ago, a tornado took out a neighborhood about 30 miles from here, but no deaths and just minor injuries.
Thanks for all the concern, friends! We’re fine in my area – but my husband was at work right in the middle of all the activity and my two kids still in high school had to go “duck and cover” for about an hour, which I’m sure was pretty scary. I just saw a segment on our local morning news showing a home in Lancaster (south of Dallas) where EVERYTHING was totally destroyed – except for a corner section of the bathroom surrounding the bathtub, literally 7 ft x 7 ft, and the bathtub is where the grandmother and her three small grandchildren had taken cover. Unbelievable. I have to believe that prayers were answered in that home. With all the destruction, it’s amazing that there were no deaths.
I’m so enjoying the videos of Adam and Isaac! So much better seeing an energetic, involved band member rather than one who leaves you wondering, “Are we keeping you up?”

Has anyone watched Kris Allens new video…..not quite understanding all the love for it, found it pretty dull actually,and bland, it all seems to be one shade of beige…

I read through the post but did not bother to actually watch the video. I have an aversion to having to listen to nice, sweet treacle sung by elfen soon to be canonized singers. I also try to avoid injecting straight sugar into my veins when I can. According to the Kris fans this is going to be a big hit so it will probably be on my radio constantly so why listen now? And now you know why I lurk because I would be banned after my first comment.
Don’t throw tomatoes at me, but I liked Kris’s video. Of course it can’t compare to Adam’s work, but the tune is catchy and the message is very important. If it gets kids thinking about what they do, or gets someone to stand up for the kid being bullied then it is serving an good purpose. And the more the message gets out the better.
ETA. I just watched the video and listened to the song (and saw a few tweets), I didn’t read MJ’s thread or anything else they are saying about it.
Me too. I like the song and the video. Adam has said he likes the song too more than once. I think the song is catchy and well sung. And, Kris is super cute. No denying it.

I’m sure it is a very good message and good for him for addressing the issue. There can never be enough said about the topic of bullying and how detrimental it is to kids who are subjected to it. So that is a good thing. I just sometimes have to get out my frustration that my special snowflake Doesn’t get the same recognition when he put his money where his mouth was. Sorry if I sounded flippant about the cause itself.
I actually think this will be a hit for Kris, and good for him! There is room on the radio for beautiful music. I’m just glad it has a positive message and a good story in the video. Kris supports the Trevor project too. And I’m just glad that this isn’t a song about S&M, and so much other crap that’s out there these days.
I went to MJ’s, and that thread is so full of hate! Why? I don’t get it. Too much analysis. Jeepers.
The video is OK – good message – not a fan of the song nor of Kris’s voice normally. DL’d two songs from his first album that I like – “Bring It Back” and “Alright with Me” – very nice. Also saw the vid of “Shut the Door” at The Mint which is a great fast number and Kris was really into it. Excellent. As another poster at MJ’s said, Kris was a good friend to Adam during AI and have always admired him for that. Must say that, as a guy, he’s very cute, but, for me, not a hot number. TJ affected me the same way. He could leave the band, too, and unless it affected Adam in some way, wouldn’t care. Maybe the new Music Director can put a buzz under his butt. Like the people around Adam to look involved. He deserves it.
Yup. Kris is cute, adorable even. But HAWT and sexay-no way. I just only wish him the best. He seems like a very nice and decent person, doesn’t have negativity around him. Just fans who go there. Too bad, they are missing the message.

Have I mentioned that this CD will be my birthday present? ( Well, TBH, 4 days after, but, hey, I’ll take that!).

That is not too shabby! Not to take away from the achievement but we do have to remember that in the grand scheme of Top 40 music, many artists get that many views in a few days. For the most part, one just need fights, jiggling, wiggling or nonsense to be really popular.
Both Adam and Kris will always have to prove that they belong. PDs are not going to give them a break even if the songs are actually better than the mindless drivel that disguises itself as music these days (showing my age here
).
It’s a tough world out there for both of them. They are trying to stay true to who they are as individuals and musicians but the challenges are daunting. I know whose CD I will be buying but wish the best of luck to both of them and anyone trying to make it in the music business!
