I want Queen and Adam Lambert to come to Canada so bad…They could do three shows..East Coast, WEst Coast and Montreal or Toronto..PLEASE!!!!!
Since so many people are still hanging out here, I thought I would post the link to this week’s crossword here as well since it is Vegas related.
After his amazing set there, he will be “Forever in iHearts“.

loveroftalent…Yup, pray to the Universe to make it so. As usual I believe there are things going on the in background that we don’t know about.
LOL AL…you can’t hide from me!
Canada is a pretty safe bet for Queenbert NA tour loveroftalent. For some reason wiki is missing a lot of box office figures for Q+PaulRodgers (they were showing before).
Using the figures still there: Toronto was one of only two sell-outs and the biggest grosser at more than $1,000, 000 revenues for that single night. Vancouver did have a show and my memory is that attendance was 80% or better. Can’t remember Montreal but looking at how well QE is doing in Quebec City, Montreal would be a Toronto-sized sell-out.
In the US, for some reason, I think Philadelphia was a big-venue sell-out but I can’t find the figures this time around. Also key west coast venues did alright with Paul Rodgers so Adam would push their figures up.
Queen could easily manage a 6 city tour like last year’s and do very well:
Miami 5,897 / 6,000 (98%)
Jacksonville 3,769 / 5,000 (75%)
Duluth 5,909 / 9,258 (64%)
Washington, DC 9,475 / 12,571 (75%)
Uniondale 7,697 / 11,000 (70%)
Toronto 11,279 / 11,279 (100%)
Cleveland 6,218 / 9,096 (68%)
Rosemont 7,441 / 9,500 (78%)
Auburn Hills, Michigan 10,296 / 10,296 (100%)
Milwaukee 6,282 / 9,000 (70%)
San Diego 6,030 / 7,586 (79%)
Anaheim 9,085 / 14,373 (63%)
MGM Grand Las Vegas 6,359 / 7,800 (82%)
Seattle 4,592 / 12,500 (37%)
Portland 4,234 / 12,600 (34%)
Good morning! Those are big numbers, TLKC!
@luval</strong…I am praying to the universe everyday..And I think something is going on in the background as well..
@TLKCThanks for posting those figures..Canada has great taste lol…But I am really surprised that in the states they weren’t playing in bigger venues and selling them out..
Sorry for my above post all in bold…Didn’t mean to do it.
Canada is a big rock country and more Anglo-oriented than the US.
The Queen/Paul Rodgers tour had many more dates that the ones shown here. They were in Glendale as well as Anaheim so the LA area had two shows. They also appeared in Uniondale just outside New York City. I don’t know how far Worcester is from Boston but they did hit Massachusetts.
Anyone who wants to check out the tour info for future reference

@luvalThanks so much for posting that comment…SO happy to read what he wrote..And what he wrote is what it is all about..Keeping the Queen music alive and they found a singer that can help them do that..Ture Queen fans should be happy to keep the Queen music alive and bring it to another generation and let them fall in love with the Queen music. Noone will ever forget Freddie and no one is trying replace him.
I have only listened to a couple of Rodgers+Queen songs, but I can tell you I would never pay money to see him with Queen. Dour, no range, no flamboyance (and riskyhubby agreed with me) – for me, he just cannot carry the great Queen songs that I love. Maybe touring with Adam, with his reputation for great vocals, people will know that the really great songs will be done well and that will attract good audiences.
I wouldn’t expect more than 6 dates though – they don’t need the money anymore and aren’t getting any younger, so it would be about the joy of performing. Universe, are you listening????
Me, too. I just don’t think Paul is the right singer for these songs.
ITA re: number of tour dates, in North America at any rate. They must be unbelievably rich but they wouldn’t want to lose money. They probably need a handful of dates to cost justify the whole thing.
