You know what is so interesting to me, is to read the show recaps and impressions of other people from this lovely (can I say sane?) fan site. Turquoise, I empathize with the “loner” part of your character as much as I revel with you in being part of a crowd whose entire attention is on the amazing performer that Adam is, yet all the while having a very personal connection to him. And now that I’ve met you, I can imagine you sitting on those steps listening and thinking long thoughts..
Tchrsd, you were more than welcoming, you’re right; it was like I’ve known you for years. So that’s why I can completely understand why Ashley talked to you like she did (and has, evidently, several times). I’ve always heard that Adam is a consummate listener and prefers other peeps to look him in the eye. Not so surprising then, that this trait is embodied in a fan as caring as you.
I forgot to mention I met AliKat, a quiet,very nice lady, who I don’t think posts here, but she gave us a couple of yellow and black fans that she had had a hand in making. Just one more example of reaching out to us initiates.
And talk about follow-up! Cher contacted me right away after I posted here with lots of info about who was going. She’s so energetic, working long hours but keeping up and encouraging the newbies.
Thanks to everyone. Again! Even those I’ve missed due to my 29 year old memory, lol. Can’t wait till we have the chance to do this all over. I don’t think I’ll have to hitch my husband up and drag him along, either.
Yes, Tothebeat, that is our cher. She doesn’t post here that often, but she is the lynchpin of the group in many ways, working behind the scenes, getting tickets, connecting people, organizing, etc. She was the first person who emailed me 4 years ago when I ventured out of lurkdom…..and the rest is history
Howdy, ya’ll! Forgive my absence. I’ve been terribly busy, but wanted to drop by and attempt to catch up. tchrsd not one ounce of “verbosity.” turquoise waters you know I feel the same way. Ovation Impact even knows when I’m in the presence of Adam, I just zone out into a higher plane of existence. I am only there. People try to talk to me—I barely even hear them. And all the other great posts…thank you! I wish I’d been there. And I agree from the videos, the band all seemed very present, soaking it in, as it is the last of this era. Adam truly loves his fans, I’m sure of it, and we of course, love him right back. Plus, on a different note, I’ve just figured out a way to connect with you guys. I’m going to type a word document with your names on it, so I can remember who I’m talking to and can cut and paste. That’s the one thing that is difficult on this site. I remember real names, not the handles, except for the few I’ve met, and it’s hard to remember all the spellings. SO all of you who I’ve had the pleasure to meet, you know I know who you are and I’m grateful. And all those I haven’t, we’ve met in spirit.Please keep on sharing.
