Adam at the 2019 GLAAD Awards

March turned out to be a lamb if you compare the lion’s worth of activities that happened in February. March did end with a few tidbits however: a brief appearance at the GLAAD Awards and an announcement that he found “Somebody to Love”. Let’s hope that in April Adam showers us with new music but it seems (according to sources) that it will be May when he springs a new single on us!

Enjoy the chat!

    who else thinks @ABCNetwork
“The Show Must Go On: The @QueenWillRock
    + @adamlambert
    Story” deserves a @TheEmmys
for Outstanding Documentary/Producer ?? I do, besides the excellent historical research, had an incredible edition and a lot of emotion

The Show Must Go On is now on Hulu.

  4. riskylady says:

Lol my sister texted me from Atlanta that there was a show on ABC about Queen and Adam. She has NO idea how many concerts etc we’ve been to…..or where…. Grin

  5. riskylady says:

Beautifully done! Loved Roger, “no impersonators”! Giving it to NYT!! Funny and ironic, WWRY the musical is Bri’s baby, and Extravaganza is Roger’s – but Roger, who hired MM for his tribute show, WILL NOT have an impersonator with Queen. And can’t stand musical theater, that Adam came out of.
    Also, this:
ABC aired Adam’s AMA performance unblurred LOLOL after all the brouhaha it caused 10 yrs ago.

Hubby and I had one caveat: For Lyndsey Parker to say FM “paved the way” for Adam, totally disagree. ADAM paved his own way IMHO, and for others that have followed. ADAM kissed Tommy on live TV and almost every tour stop of the GN tour. ADAM endured the backlash, graciously answered the neverending interrogations, the very public attack from OUT mag and other gays and sites, performed in spite of threats in a few countries, because he was OPENLY gay. Freddie wasn’t, and didn’t endure those things, always performed within the band, never toured SOLO putting asses in the seats under his own name without his “tribe” around him.
I realize Freddie’s origin and the time he lived in was a big constraint to being officially out, so he wasn’t in a position to pave the way for anyone. I do recognize that he was a great inspiration to Adam. But, inspiring artistically is NOT “paving the way to make it easier or more comfortable for others.” I refuse to let ANYONE diminish Adam’s achievement, his endurance and outright bravery.

What a thrill to see Adam on my TV two nights in a row! It seems like it’s been years, and it probably has been due to my travels inconveniently coinciding with Adam’s TV appearances.

First American Idol. My goodness, he looked beautiful! The long hair looked better in the back than I expected. And I loved the way his hair and beard framed his face and made his gorgeous blue eyes stand out. As a mentor, he’s the best I’ve ever seen anywhere and on Idol mentoring Queen songs, he was at the top of his game…charming, sensitive and providing spot on constructive advice tailored to each contestant and their song. Even though no one can even approach Adam and Freddie when it comes to singing Queen songs, most of the contestants did a reasonably good job with their song choices thanks to Adam.

Last night’s documentary was outstanding! The story was beautifully put together and almost brought tears to my eyes on multiple occasions. It was like a love letter to QAL. It’s all been said in all the posts above, but one other thing of note was their treatment of the AMA’s. It was a brief blip in Adam’s career and was presented non judgmentally. But did you notice…ABC actually showed Adam kissing Tommy without blurring it out! Oh my, the times have changed and we have Adam to thank in part for that.

Riskylady– Haha! I saw your comments on the AMA’s after I posted mine. Great minds think alike! I love your comments about Adam paving his own way. You’re so right!

    Awww, love this.

Watching #QueenxAdamLambert remembering when he was on AI & I couldn’t cheer for him as a JW because he’s gay. The type of dumb shit religion makes you do. Now I bow down to this vocal king for bringing back @QueenWillRock’s voice. I’m sorry for being an asshole @adamlambert…

  9. riskylady says:

Lol mmm222 – nothing but great minds here on ALL!!! It’s GlamMENSA!

  10. ultimathule says:

Yes, riskylady – Adam was on the front lines from the beginning – he took the incoming with courage and class – extraordinary journey –

Also I wanted to share this clip yesterday but I wanted to focus on the documentary and then I forgot. Nik Carter who talks at the documentary, do you remember his berting?? “Adam Lambert, music god and sickeningly handsome! I hate your face because it’s so damn perfect!” ?

#QueenxAdamLambert doco was amazing! I never heard Adam Lambert’s voice before this…and damn that guy can sing! So amazing to see this legendary band honoring Freddie & bringing their music to the younger generation. This was beautifully done.

  17. glambotgram says:

I thought the same last night when Parker said Freddie paved the way. No way, Adam took on a shitstorm all by himself, and survived.

I thought the same at that remark about Freddie paving the way Risky…hindsight is a wonderful thing. Because everyone now knows Freddie was bisexual, things he said and done are being seen and interpreted in a different way to how they were 30-40 years ago…Adam paved the way and took all the flack for the singers of today…..
Loved how blunt Roger was in some of his quotesSmile

Just watched TSMGO documentary a second time. AMAZING!!! Absolutely loved the Queen night with Adam as the ultimate mentor. INCREDIBLE!!! I am truly loving being a fan of the incomparable, iconic Adam Mitchel Lambert and Queen!!! Don’t have tickets for this tour yet – hoping for an amazing ticket to come available in Philly again. Hubby is willing to go up to Toronto again so we’ll see. My daughter is getting married this month and we just got back from a wonderful trip to Scotland and England. I know l don’t post much but I’m always checking in here and I’m so glad for all of us 10 year fans. It’s been a fantastic ride so far!!!

  25. sparkle says:

And only 18 more days until we see Adam on Idol again!!!
