The Glam Nation Tour played its first date in Texas at the Lone Star Events Center (Pavilion) in Lubbock. This venue was memorable, and not in a good way. Turns out that the “Pavilion” was a former slaughterhouse which was not air conditioned and was in poor condition. Local promotional efforts also appeared to be lacking, as this concert saw the slowest ticket sales of any on the entire tour, with an estimated attendance of slightly over 1000, or less than half the capacity. The subpar venue may have contributed to the slow sales. In any case, the show went on, with Allison again as the only opener, and Adam gave a great performance as always. This crowd appeared to enjoy the show, and was treated to Whole Lotta Love which returned as the encore after taking a couple of nights off.
